Dear Emma,
You said swimming was your favorite sport , so I decided to come to one of your swim meets. As you were swimming, I saw how you perfectly dived in and stayed under water for a while. I admired how wonderful you were moving your body at a steady pace and moving your hips. How you did an amazing job and won in all of your heats! Each time after you got out of the water I saw you start to pull off your cap and googles. You eyes shined and glisten as you smiled big and ran up to me. I gave you a hug then a celebratory kiss. At the end of the meet it started to rain. It poured , actually. Eventually everybody left. It was just you and I.
Sure there were a few lifeguards still cleaning up a bit and our parents were packing up the car , but in that short moment alone, we danced and twirled with spirals of rain pounding on our heads and laughter echoing through it all.
