Dear Emma,
The day you visited we were walking around campus and just talking like we do. The sun glared on your back making your hair shine and your eyes glisten. We got some coffee at the campus coffee booth. The cup sat in your hands , warming them and making you close your eyes in pleasure as you took a sip. "I have a surprise for you!", I said clearly excited. We drove to the carnival. You looked happy. And that was all I needed. When we arrived the familiar scent of funnel cake and hotdogs engulfed the air. I placed my hand in yours as we walked around the gorgeous place. It had gotten dark by now and the lights of the roller coasters shined brightly against the black sky which was full of stars. Beautiful , gleaming stars. We rode a lot of roller coasters that went up and up and up to the bright circles of dust. You weren't scared at all. You were brave. After thrilling rides and romantic slow ones , after more coffee and cotton candy , food and arcade games . (I won you a stuffed bear!). It became to late and the stars shined brighter. It was time for you to leave me again.
