Dear Emma,
Today I went to a party with all my friends. I was trying to lay off thinking about you so much. I remember the party was on the beach. The music boomed as the bitter salty wind found itself into my hair and the sand squeezed between my toes. This party was the most fun I have ever had without you , and I usually don't have fun when your not with me.Then , suddenly everyone stopped talking. A voice was heard over the microphone. They only said one word. "Karaoke!" I knew that I had a good voice and suddenly the thought of myself up there signing didn't scare me a bit. Everyone started mumbling "I don't want to do that", and "I'm not good at signing." I yelled over everyone and raised my hand to the man who was holding the microphone. I asked him smiling ,"I'd like to try". Blair , Adam, Piper , and Matt turned around surprised at my level of confidence. No one made a sound as I walked to the stage. It was so silent I could almost hear the beating of my own heart or the sound of my feet leaving foot prints in the damp sand. I took the microphone and spoke. "This is for my girlfriend, Emma." Shouts from the crowd were heard. It sounded weird to call you my girlfriend when I felt we were closer. And then I just sorta started. My voice sounded good, and I went with it. I started to sing sweater weather and instead of the crowd cheering, they stood there staring into my eyes. "And it's too cold, it's to cold. Put your hands in my sweater." I finished and everything was quiet. Then, the crowd was loud. The crowd roared. They would not stop. "What's your name?", the man that gave me the microphone asked. "Will. It's Will." The man, who I soon later learned was named Nate, started chanting,"Emma and Will! Emma and Will!" Soon the whole crowd shouted,"Emma and Will! Emma and Will!" I felt a push and I found myself in the crowd, with hands lifting me through it. Music started to boom again and I was just so happy , to happy to describe myself. I started laughing and then looking up to the sky, my eyes squinted. And I swear, a cloud was up there that was shaped just like you.
