Chapter 10- Save Her, Elora

Chapter 10

"The number you have dialed is out of coverage area. Please try your call later"

For the nth time, yun lang ang maririnig ko tuwing tatawag ako kay Traze. 

Fvck! 

Kakatapos ko lang ibigay ang laptop bag na kinalalagyan ng laptop at documents ni Louis.  Kay Prof. Harris ko iyon ibinigay.  At dahil nagmamadali ako, hindi ko na rin nakausap si Louis or si Prof. Harris, basta binigay ko lang yung kailangan nila.  Ngayon ay sakay ako ng isang taxi, pabalik sa MediSynth.

Sinabihan ko rin ang driver na bilisan ang pagmamaneho dahil nagmamadali ako.

Actually, may kailangan pang iexplain si Loius sa akin, but that can wait.  I need to talk to my boss first.  Kailangan ko siyang makausap.  Pero hindi ko alam ang personal number niya. 

I glanced at my high-tech digital watch, we also need to use this for secure communication.  Encrypted lahat ng messages dito sa device at gagamitin lang ito kapag nasa emergency or kapag may mission daw kaming gagawin according to Traze.

I took a deep breath and tried to contact her.

"C'mon! Boss Hedera, answer it!" I whispered into the watch, praying for a response. The small screen flickered, and I saw an error message.

I activated the secure channel and tried again, pero wala pa rin.  Madali lang naman pag-aralan mag kalikot nitong watch, I don't see any problem.  Pero bakit hindi ko macontact ang boss ko?

I don't trust any of the three, Lysander, Felix, and Solaris.  Kaya naman I tried to communicate with Traze using my watch.

The watch remained silent for a moment, ano kayang problema?  Pati si Traze ay hindi ko macontact.  I was about to exit the call when I heard a voice.

"Elora?" Traze's voice was kind of sleepy.

"Were you sleeping?  Where is our boss?"

"Yeah, I was sleeping.  And about Boss Hell, pinag bilin ka niya.  We'll continue our session.  She needs to go home, and she will be attending a meeting later"

Sh*t!

"C-can you tell me where to find her? Can you track her? Or do you have her personal number?  There is an error message when I tried contacting her through my watch." Medyo nanginginig pa ang boses ko habang nakikinig sa isasagot ni Traze. 

Feeling ko nga pinagpapawisan ako ng malamig.  Pero napakalakas naman ng aircon ni manong driver.

"I cannot.  The GPS on her watch automatically turned off when she was heading home.  At lalong wala akong number niya" mukhang walang pakeng sagot ni Traze.  Halatang inaantok talaga yung boses niya.  "Bakit ba kasi?  What's the urgency?"

"How about her car?  I'm pretty sure there is a GPS-"

"Save your breath, Elora.  Any tracking devices will be destroyed by the car's countermeasures.  We can't just track her using a tracking device!  Are you insane?  Or you wanna get fired?  Ipagpabukas mo na yung sasabihin-"

At pinatayan ko nalang siya ng phone.  I don't think she can help.  Haist!  Naiinis na napabuntong hininga nalang ako.  I need to do something.  Hindi ko alam, pero kahit masama yung ugali ng boss ko, I need to make sure na she's alright. 

"No one knows her address," I muttered to myself. "How do I find her?"

Sandaling nag isip isip ako, pero parang tila bumbilya na umilaw yung utak ko.  An idea struck me!
