Lost Friendship

A/N this was a request from Ev2amazing4ya.

Y/N had come round to Matteos house early in the morning. Bellatrix opened the door and her little 9 year old legs ran as fast as they could up to Matteos room. As soon as they saw eachother they wrapped their arms around eachother.
"Y/N I missed you so much."
"Its only been a week Matty" she giggled. Matteo shrugged.
"Yeah a week to long" they both laughed again. And then Matteo grabbed her hand and dragged her outside.

Matteo woke up. He dragged his 16 year old self out of bed and into the bathroom. His girlfriend still asleep. He didnt even like Astoria Greengrass he had no clue why he was dating her. He had another memory-dream about Y/N again. He needed to stop. She was gone. She was gone and she wasnt coming back.

"Matty I have to tell you something" Y/N said while lying on the grass looking up at the stars with Matteo.
"What's up"
"Well you see.....me and my family are moving....to France"
"FRANCE?!?!?!"
"yeah..."
"N....no you cant leave Y/N/N. I cant do this without you" he hugged her tight.
"I'm sorry Matty. Its not my choice my dad....hes making me" Y/N could swear she felt tears soke her shoulder.
"I'll write...every day. And I'll visit"
"P....promise?"
"I promise"

Matteo looked at himself in the mirror. Y/N didnt keep that promise. Neither did he. Life went on and eventually they lost touch when they went to their different wizarding schools.

Matteo looked at the date. Y/B/D. He felt his throat tighten. It was her birthday. This was the 7th birthday that he wouldnt see her. He started to sweat. He couldnt breathe before you knew it, he was having a panic attack.

He fell to the floor knocking stuff off the counter waking Astoria up. She rushed into the bathroom and knelt next to him.
"Hey it's ok. Breathe baby. It'll stop soon Matty--" she was cut of my Matteo grabbing her hand.
"Dont. Call. Me. That"
"Why not?"
"You know why!"
"Matteo...you need to get over her. She left you 7 years ago."
"I'll see her again one day"
"Matteo your with me...shouldnt that be enough?!" She said starting to get annoyed.
"It should be...but its not"

Matteo got up and walked out the room, leaving Astoria on the bathroom floor alone.

A few months later Matteo was sat in the great hall with some friends. He had broken up with Astoria months ago. He couldnt bare her. Her annoying voice, and the way all she wanted to do was have sex with him, and worst of all, the way she tried to convince him that he should get over Y/N.

"Matty before I go I want you to have this" she handed him a bracelet. "I have a matching one, see?" She showed him her wrist. Matteo immediately put the bracelet on.
"I'll never take it off" he promised hugging her.

That was one promise he did keep. He always wore his bracelet. Except when he was in the shower cause he didnt want to wet it and then break it.

Dumbledore started waffling on about a new student. Matteo wasnt paying attention he was to busy fiddiling with his bracelet. When he did look up he saw a girl walk in. Matteo did a double take. She had Y/H/C hair and beautiful Y/E/C eyes. His eyes widened. Y/N?

The girl sat down at the Hufflepuff table. As soon as everyone started walking out the hall, matteo followed the girl. When they were far enough away from everyone he grabbed her sleeve and dragged her into an empty classroom.
"What are you doing you bastar--" she was cut off by Matteo grabbing her wrist and pulling up her sleeve. Showing the matching bracelet. His eyes widened even more.
"Hello? Earth to stranger" Y/N said.
"Y/N?" Y/N looked at Matteos face closer.
"Matty?" Matteo smiled at the nickname and pulled her into a hug.

"Omg its you" she felt tears soak her shoulder. "What the hell what are you doing here"
"My dad job sent him back over here" Y/N smiled. "I've missed you....soooooo much"
"Oh you have no idea Y/N/N" they both smiled and hugged eachother. Y/N swore she heard a faint "finally" come out of his mouth.
