Psychopath. Gumball never really particularly liked this word very much, since it often reminded him of what he was. Insane. Or, at least that's what he believed. All the shows and movies he's seen always depicted it that way, that the person who was different was... Bad. Not normal. Needed to be dealt with. He didn't like the thought of having to be put into that category. He wasn't bad, was he?

After the whole school incident, everything was back to normal, at least as much as it could be. Nothing was revealed to the public, everyone had agreed to keep quiet, and it was silently never discussed again. It was back just as it was.

..Or is it?

~~

It was Saturday morning, in the somewhat bizarre town of Elmore.

The Watterson children were heading to the mall, ready for the day they had planned, or rather, what Gumball and Darwin planned.

"Ugh.. Remind me again why you're here?" Gumball had a look of annoyance on his face, as Anais tagged along with them. He shoved his hands into his pockets as they walked. "Last I checked our day didn't include babysitting you."

"Daisy's going to be at the mall today, and she's going to be signing autographs and taking photos! You know I can't miss my opportunity!" She replied, glaring at him. "It's one day only!"

"Hey calm down, we're having fun today, remember?" Darwin managed to stop the two from bickering any longer, as they continued on their way. "Besides, one extra activity won't hurt."

"Hey look, it's that billboard poster for that new movie!" Forgetting about his previous annoyance, Gumball pointed at the board, which showed a poster for a movie called 'The Massacre', being a black background with red letters.

"The Massacre? Isn't that a scary movie?" Darwin questioned. He looked up at the board, squinting his eyes to read it.

"Is it like The Screamening?.." Anais gave a look of worry, even fright. The memory of all those nightmares she had of that terrible scene wasn't pretty. It took weeks until she was able to sleep soundly again.

"I don't know, I haven't seen any trailers. From what I heard online, it's about a guy killing everybody." The cat answered, shrugging.

"Huh, sounds oddly familiar to this week." Their sister remarked, narrowing her eyes. "I still can't believe they let you get off scot free with m-"

Gumball groaned, cutting her off. "Don't. Please. Not here."

"..Sorry." Anais quietly dropped the subject. She had been still wary since the incident, feeling as if it were impossible for her to not forget about it. Especially considering she had a chainsaw pointed at her during the events.

"So you want to see that movie?" Darwin raised an eyebrow, as he turned to face the cat.

Gumball thought for a moment. "Not sure, maybe. It might be kinda interesting I guess."

The goldfish had a look of concern, as he knew what that could entail. He had been trying his best to keep the cat safe, and away from those thoughts of murder and death. "..Maybe you shouldn't.."

Gumball frowned, sensing his worry. He was fairly disappointed by the implications. "I won't hurt anyone, it's just a movie."

"It's not 'just a movie' though.. It's a horror movie, with probably a lot of blood and guts. I don't even think Mrs. Mom would let you go, incident or not.." Darwin replied. "..You don't know if something could go wrong.."

The cat stayed silent. Deep down, he knew his best friend was right in some regards, but he hated the idea of having to avoid so much stuff like the plague. Just because he looked at a butter knife doesn't mean he would use it to stab someone, right? It could be the same with the movie.
