For a moment, all was dark to him. However just as it came, it soon went, as he suddenly jolted awake, startling those around him.

"W-What happened?" Gumball soon realized he was being carried by staff. He struggled to get out of their grip, but found efforts useless. That was, until he noticed where they were going.

An empty old room was ahead, nothing seen but a bed, hardly any sheets on it. Straps decorated it.

He could feel the memories of his previous nightmares recollect in his head. Panic grew. "N-No NO NO LET ME GO LET ME GO DON'T PUT ME IN THERE!"

The staff did their best to hold him down, as he cried and screamed, desperately clawing to get out. Before he knew it, the darkness was there. It was looming and threatening, coming ever so closer, enveloping everything around it. He screamed louder, terrified, as he couldn't bother trying to hear anything uttered to him.

Suddenly, a well of voices came, unseen to the eye, but he could very well hear them. They shouted with such disappointment, such utter rage.

You're a mistake.

You caused this.

You're nothing but a murderous freak.

It was too much to bear. The feline desperately tried to block it out, but was unable to, as it only got louder. He let out a startled cry, as a staff member came up from behind. "N-NO LEAVE ME ALONE!"

"Watterson it's okay we're not going to-"

"S-STOP! STOP!" He slipped out from their grip, punching one of them in order to do so. The voices yelled heavily for that. There was no pleasing them.

"Watterson!" The staff gave best efforts to grab him, but the cat darted past them, jumping right out an old creaky window.

All Gumball could do now was run as fast as he could. It was nighttime now it seemed, with his eyes taking a moment to adjust to it. How long has he been gone now? Was it hours? Days? The collar kept beeping at each of his breaths. Desperately, he tried to pull on it, to find some sort of switch or lock, but came up short. It only beeped louder.

Loud shouting and footsteps could be heard from behind him off in the distance, what sounded like a few staff members and some security. This only encouraged him to run faster.

The darkness was in his pursuit as well, slowly crawling up to him. Its presence struck utter fear into him. Unfortunately, his instincts were not as smart. The feline looked up, realizing where he was. There wasn't time to change route now. Slightly hesitant, he opened the door, and ran inside, slamming it quickly as he tried to catch his breath.

His eyes widened, as realization hit. He forgot the previous encounter.

The family suddenly were at stance by the couch, armed with weapons, that being butter knives and a baseball bat. By now they were very much screaming, at least the siblings and Richard were, with Nicole at the center, who wielded only her fists, glaring with fury, but also showing a bit of shock.

"W-Wait I-I can explain!" Tears were running down his face, as he tried to calm them down. Not much could be done however, much to his dismay, as they only raised their defenses higher. Sudden banging of the door could be heard from the outside, scaring him horribly. Backing away from it, his emotions were all over the place, as all sorts of thoughts were scrambled in his head. The shock collar didn't help a thing, as it constantly kept stinging his neck.

Everything in his vision seemed like scribbly drawings of his surroundings. It was rather bizarre, yet frightening. He soon hunched over. Pain was ever so prevalent in his body. Would the shocks ever end?
