chapter fourteen
━━━ the beginning of the end

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐒𝐂𝐇𝐎𝐎𝐋 year marked a lot of new beginnings for all of auradon. for one, this year would include all villain kids who applied, not just the ones who had been previously selected. not to mention, the barrier had completely been removed and instead replaced with a beautiful marble bridge serving as a connector between the two worlds. finally, mal and ben were scheduled to host their wedding at the end of their senior year. 

overall, the school had been abuzz with new students and new beginnings.

and as great as all of this progress was, fayebelle could not bring herself to care one bit.

don't get her wrong, fayebelle was more than happy that she didn't have to be separated from harry and that the two could spend time together, but truthfully the other new students and the gossip surrounding them did not interest her one bit. she had her group, and it was unlikely that it was going to change.

besides this year had to go perfectly according to plan. she couldn't afford distractions.

not that harry was a distraction, of course not, she was head over heels for the pirate. but ever since their hug the day on the pavilion, the two hadn't really spoke at all. harry was busy with uma and mal registering all the villain kids for their classes and getting the dorms set up correctly. fayebelle was also busy with more personal matters regarding her father.

it wasn't like they hadn't tried. when fayebelle was helping mal move out of her dorm, she was going to live in bens quarters now, they had seen each other in passing at the dinner hall. but fayebelle was just leaving with mal, and harry and uma were just entering with multiple other vks. 

but it was what it was, and fayebelle needed all the time she could get to start planning ahead.

see, it was fayebelle's senior year too. and as seniors, they all had important decisions ahead of them. but as time passed, it seemed like everybody knew what they wanted to do with their lives. ben and mal were to be king and queen of auradon. evie and doug already had a successful fashion business and planned to continue it. jay and gil planned to go travel and see the world. uma was set on becoming principal. jane was going to train as a new fairy godmother. carlos planned on going to college and continue his education.

fayebelle, on the other hand, was stuck deciding what she wanted to do with her life at sixteen years old.

when she was young and still had her fathers favor, they spoke about her following in his footsteps and becoming a guardian, however fayebelle and jack had since had a rocky relationship and she doesn't know if her father still wants her to continue down that path.
