17 - Amusement Park

KAI'S POV

I turn the ignition and drive away from the building. Uneasy silence hang between us, I glanced over Aya and she's staring at the window with unreadable expression. Di ko dapat siya dinamay dito. I bit my lip and tighten my grip on the steering wheel.

Aya: Should I have not pissed her off?

I looked at her and she's fidgeting her fingers.

Aya: Why- uhmm isusumbong ba natin sila sa pulis?

Kai: Police can't help for now. It's complicated.

Aya: p-pero pano kung alam nilang may alam na tayo?

Kai: Don't worry, I won't let them touch you

She looked at me with those beautiful yet worried eyes. Di ko alam why my hand automatically moved and instinctly hold her hand. I felt my cheeks heat up when she squeeze my hand and latched our fingers together.

For a moment, naisipan kong ibalik na siya sa family niya cause I don't want her to get involved but part of me don't want to let her go. Not yet.

MALOI'S POV

Was preparing dinner for myself when I heard the door buzz so I went to check it. Bumugad saakin ang mukha ni Chole

Maloi: Wait let me explain! I know you said no to my offer pero I hate the thought of you commuting and I know a car is too grand so I settled on buying a motor.

Maloi: You can't give it back

I explained nang mabilis at hinihintay na sermunan niya ako. Tinaas niya ang kamay niya at akma ata akong sasampalin kaya napapikit ako. I felt her hand on top of my head and shuffled my hair.

Chole: Hays di ka talaga mapipigilan

I opened my eyes and she's already leaning close to me. Nakangiti siya while caressing my hair, my heart races with her gentle pat in my head.

Chole: Looks like I owe you a date

Napatigil ako sa paghinga dahil ito ang unang beses na inalok niya ako sa isang date.

Maloi: Wait- you'll take me o-out? on a date?

Chole: Yep, sunduin kita bukas 6pm

She said and winked at me. Sana pala dati ko na siya binigyan ng motor! Finally no more lowkey ang ate niyo AHHHH!

Chole: Nagluluto ka? tara tulungan kita.

~Time skip~

KAI'S POV

I just picked up Aya from her school, it's been a day since we discovered sensitive information from Denise's company I know it still bothers Aya so I decided to treat her to took her mind out of it.

Aya: Hoy di ka lumiko, di pa ba tayo uuwi?

Kai: We're heading somewhere

We arrived on our destination at bumaba na sa kotse. We're in front of an amusement park at mukhang madami dami rin ang tao. I hate crowded place but can't back down cause we're already here.
