"Are you sure that it's safe?" Angela asked. I couldn't help but laugh at her question. The halls were completely empty, there was nothing to be afraid of. Not even the hall monitors were in the area, most of them never did their jobs anyway.

Jessica didn't find the question as funny as I did. Instead, she answered it with annoyance. "I do it all the damn time. Relax, Ang."

"But Jess, maybe this wasn't such a good idea," Angela whined. "It's nine in the morning."

"Do you think we're late for class?" Jessica asked.

"Definitely," Angela said. She seemed to be panicking for whatever reason. "We spent an hour in your car. Of course, we're late for class."

We didn't mean to spend that much time in Jessica's car. We only expected it to take about ten minutes. But considering that Angela and I were very new to smoking, it was hard to finish Jessica's blunt in a timely manner. Not to mention that we kept getting sidetracked. Mainly with gossip about Jessica's crush on Mike and Angela's crush on Eric.

"Then we should probably hang out here until our next test." Jessica shrugged. "Angela, do you still have that energy drink in your locker?"

"That is not a good idea." That had to have been the shittiest idea I ever heard.

"I was asking Angela not Aspen." Jessica wrapped her arm around me and rested her head on mine. She was a bit heavy. "I need all the energy I can get. Hybrid makes me sleepy."

"Then why'd you smoke it?" I grunted as I tried to hold up both my body weight and Jessica's. That proved to be very fucking hard.

"I have a stupid biology test today," Jessica explained. Angela hummed like she understood that explanation.

"I'm glad that I already took bio. Mr. Molina seems like a complete dick." I said. Everyone I knew complained heavily about Mr. Molina as a teacher. Everyone HATED him.

"You already took bio?" Angela asked.

"Freshmen took biology at my last school," I told her.

"I don't think I could've dealt with Mr. Molina or biology my freshman year," Jessica muttered.

"Aspen, are you a senior or junior?" Angela asked.

"Junior... but I'm taking mostly senior classes." I tested out of a lot of the classes offered for juniors at this school.

"Are you graduating early?" Angela asked.

"No, I should have two classes left over for senior year." I could've easily finished those classes but I didn't want to graduate early. I had no idea what I was going to do after high school.

Jessica perked up. "Good, you'll be there to watch me give a speech at our graduation."

Jessica was barely passing her damn classes. There was no way in hell she would be our valedictorian. "Does the school know that you're going to be our valedictorian?"

Jessica pouted and pushed me away from her. I fell on my ass which caused me to laugh. "I'm manifesting it." I laughed even harder. Manifestation was as real as witches and vampires. "Manifestation works, you should try it."

"I'm more likely to marry a vampire." I rolled my eyes. "Now can someone help me up?" Angela offered me her hand and helped me up.

Jessica huffed. "Angela, do you have that energy drink or not?"

Angela sighed. "Let's go to my locker."

Thinking of an energy drink reminded me that I was starving. I had a few snacks in my locker. "I have to make a quick stop at my locker. I'll meet you at yours?"
