~Narrator~

After two full hours of waiting for Gluskin and Ana, another hour past driving to Charlie's house. When they arrived, the house was neat and traditional. It was a big grey house standing 2 floors up with a porch wrapped around the corner front. The house was surrounded by a big green cut-grass yard with flowers of many color growing by the entrance near a white picket fence. The three adults (and baby) hurried inside the beautiful house. While Marie stayed out on the porch staring at the rain. Eddie watched Marie from the inside window. Wondering what could be going on in her beautiful, mysterious mind.

~Eddie~

I watch Marie sit back on a porch swing and watch the rain fall endlessly. Autumn was asleep in my arms. "Hey Ana, here's something for the baby" Charlie called out. I ignored him and continued to watch Marie. Minutes later Ana came took the baby then looked out at the window, then walked away. I stared back at my sweet Marie and noticed a tear falling down her cheek, I walked outside to give her comfort. When she saw me at the entrance door, she quickly wiped the tear off her face, pretending she's not crying. She scooted over one and made a seat for me. I sat and we remain in silence. Then I spoke "Is everything alright, dear?" She looked at me with another tear coming down her face. With my hand, using my thumb. I wiped the tear off and caressed her cheek. She closed her eyes and looked as if she'd enjoyed the feeling. I slid my thumb over her soft lips, watching her face embraced with my touch. Her lovley eyes open and there I saw the gold and red again, staring at me with a fiery passion. As I lean in closer for a kiss, she pulls away. "I'm fine" she says and turns to watch the rain again. We were silent. Then she spoke in her mature voice "What a beautiful rainy day.."
Silence. Then silence again. She looked at me, I looked at her. "I wanna...." She looked at the ground "I wanna thank you for getting Ana out and for saving me" I took her lovely broken hands and started to kiss them. "Eddie?" Then I cry. Thinking how bad I was for being a husband, a horrible protecter for my future family. I let Marie get hurt with bruises and broken fingers. I let her get hit by James and didn't do a single thing about it, all because of the fear of the gun. "I should have been a better man, Marie. I should have been a better protecter. Not You. When I saw James hit you,....... a man hitting you, I wanted to kill him" the image of Marie getting hit by the gun repeated over and over in my head, like an instant replay of what happened. "Eddie..." Marie holds my hands calmly and kisses them like a mother would do a child if he got hurt. "It's ok.. I got hit much worse in my life, harder then what he did" she wrapped her lovely arms me. She felt so good and gave me comfort. "Eddie you don't need to worry about me, I'm fine and I'm right here" she let go (even though I didn't want her to) then stood up from her seat. Marie was ready to go inside and I was too. Being a gentleman, I held the door for Marie. "After you" she nodded her head in thanks, walking inside after her. A loud scream from Autumn echoed from the walls. Marie and I raced into action.

~Marie~

We entered the room, Ana tried to calm the baby down by gently rocking her from the left to the right, while singing a lullaby. I took matters in to my own hands. Ana handed the baby over to me and I began swaying my body to both of my sides. "Shhhhh, it's ok" I whisper. Patting her back, I notice right away that she was hungry. She became a little soft, but made simple little crys. I made a loud whisper to Ana "How long ago did she eat?" She looked at me thinking, for a moment she brighten up and tiptoed quickly out of the room. She came back seconds later holding a holding a silver and pink bottle with soils white milk. My guess this was Ana's (milk). I grabbed it, and gave it to Autumn. While drinking, she glanced at me with wandering eyes probably thinking 'Who are you?' Meanwhile, Charlie tapped Eddie and Ana, guiding them out the room and closing the door when he left. I was alone, finally with the baby.

Finishing the bottle, she let go of the nipple and gave a big burp. "Someone's full" I sang in tune. I looked all around me to find myself in a pink, glittery room with millions of girly stuffed toys. Starting from plush bears to realistic looking dolls with big eyes and pure faces, it weirded me out. Looking down and up to the wide window, the carpet floor was a bright plush pink and the curtains were just glittery silver. In the corner next to the window, was an old-looking, man-made wooden rocking chair. Right besides that was this also old looking, man-made wooden rocking-crib, with a tiny mattress with (again with the pink) covers. I laid Autumn in the crib, rocking her to sleep slowly and calm. I bet she's imagining being rocked by the calm waves of the sea, under a white full moon with millions of stars guiding her to sleep. I would imagine it. Her eyes laid rest finally. My eyes search the room, only to find a electronic girly-looking clock- (that is also pink) with the numbers 7:34pm. I sat down in the rocking chair looking at those three digits. I felt sand in my eyes and I closed them. With a blink, I search for the clock. 9:40pm. The room was dark and Autumn was still asleep. I feel a warm blanket cover me.( that wasn't there before. Eddie, Charlie or even Ana must've put it there, my guess, it was Eddie) I close my eyes again. Feeling my body and mind drift off to sleep, Autumn starts crying.
