The wedding party turned into a circus. Some people shouted at each other demanding explanations, others tried to get as far away from the intruder as possible, and the warriors pointed knives and axes at him.

Of all the times he had to appear in the pack he had to choose my wedding night. If it weren't for Yaros Ignos being as tall and muscular as Almec, I would have already tried to attack him as a result of all the anger that had accumulated inside me.

"I don't care who you are, you don't have permission to crash my wedding," Almec told him, clearly as angry as I was. He grabbed my arm and hid me behind him. "I have nothing to talk to your alpha until you give an explanation of what happened with Ezra."

Yaros tried to approach Almec and was intercepted by Feinid who put his knife against his neck.

"Don't you dare take another step," he warned the outsider.

"What is going to happen if he doesn't listen to you?" A young man with curly blonde hair appeared behind Yaros. "Are you trying to start a war?"

"Romeo, that's enough." A tall woman with green, slanted cat-like eyes stood next to the young man, holding his shoulder. "You're going to cause us problems if you continue like this. It's better if Yaros does the talking."

"How many more of you are there?" Almec asked. He motioned for Geldra to come closer to him and pushed me towards her. "You better give me an explanation before I order my warriors to force you out of my territory."

Geldra dragged me to the center of the room, making sure to stay in front of me. I had to tilt my head to see what was happening.

"I was trying to explain when your friend threatened me," Yaros said, looking at Feinid. "By the way, I would appreciate it if you would move the knife away from my neck."

"Don't get too close to my alpha," Feinid warned him once more before taking a step back.

"There are four of us. I already introduced myself, then there is Romeo, Priscilla, and Gaspard who is still in the hallway. We are here to demonstrate the good intentions of our alpha, we do not wish to start any war, and that is why we believe it is necessary to clarify misunderstandings."

"Ezra is dead, that's no misunderstanding," Almec interrupted him.

"It's not a misunderstanding but it was an accident and that's what we want to clarify. Can I come a little closer?" Yaros asked. "I have a gift as a sign of our good intentions."

"You can approach me but not my guests," Almec replied.

Yaros took a step towards Almec and the warriors closed in on the other two strangers.

I tried to struggle against Geldra to free myself from her hand that was holding my arm. I didn't like being separated from Almec at all, especially since the Moon Guardians members didn't seem trustworthy.

"I don't like them either. Try to read their thoughts," my wolf told me.

I could not do it.

Maybe I was tired after the ceremony, or I needed more practice.

I tried a second time. It was impossible to enter the minds of any of them. How did they manage to hide their thoughts?

"I don't think it's a coincidence," my wolf told me. "They must be doing it on purpose, that means they know about your power. This can be dangerous, we need to be careful."

I need to tell Almec, I thought as I watched him take a step toward the large box that Yaros left on the floor.

"Stop struggling, you're not going to get anything," Geldra told me. "You're not the only one worried about Almec, but he can take care of himself."
