[184] EMERGENCY CONTACT - JULY 17 2024

Jimin had just gotten out of the shower when he receives a call from an unknown number

"Hello?"

"Hello. This is from Busan medical center. I am calling this number since you are mentioned as an emergency contact"

"Emergency contact?" Jimin is worried "...for who?"

"...Mr Jeon Jungkook"

Jungkook and Jimin are neighbors but they are also enemies. The best kind. They don't let anyone else bully each other and they don't let any day go by without teasing each other. They were in the same school and now in the same college.

Jungkook had overheard that Jimin had a date coming up with a guy who was apparently Jimin's crush and that made the man very antsy.

"Noooooo he can't go on that date. Who even is this guy who dared to ask him out?" Jungkook frowns "...I had warned all guys in college not to date him"

Taehyung shrugs "...I think he is from his dance classes... you know the same ones that Hobi goes to as well... I heard about the date from Hobi..."

Jungkook panics now as he walks up and down his room. Taehyung watches him in amusement

"How do I stop him from going on that date?"

"Just confess your feelings to him if it bothers you so much...maybe he likes you too..." Taehyung shrugs his shoulders

"Nah... there should be an easier way..." Jungkook says tapping his chin "...wait! I know... I will act sick and ask Jimin to take care of me" Jungkook says clapping his hands

Taehyung raises his brow "And why should he? He isn't your boyfriend and..."

Jungkook cuts him off "Yet"

Taehyung rolls his eyes "...and he isn't even your friend... he is more like your enemy..."

Jungkook beams "...Exactly!.. I will say he is my emergency contact because he is my enemy!"

"What sense does that make?"

"It makes sense... he is my enemy so I wanna bother him with my annoying self in emergencies"

Taehyung shakes his head "Stupid"

"Thanks... now... what should I do to make him come to the hospital? should I say I accidentally cut my fingers while chopping vegetables?"

"He will never believe you cut vegetables"

"Thats true" Jungkook sighs

"What else can I do? ..." Jungkook thinks out loud as he walks in his room when suddenly Taehyung trips him making him fall onto his hands, effectively spraining his hands

"Aah! What the hell Tae!?"

"I was helping you!" Taehyung frowns at Jungkook's disgusted face "...What the hell were you thinking asking me for help then?"

"Aah! Fck you!"

Back to after Jimin reaches the hospital in a rush. He didn't know what accident Jungkook got into.

Jimin rushes to Jungkook's side

"Are you okay? Is anywhere hurting?"

Jungkook starts acting "...it hurts so much! Aah!"

Jimin looks over at Jungkook and frowns before noticing that the brace Jungkook was wearing was very loose

"How come I am your emergency contact? Where is your phone?"

Jimin grabs Jungkook's phone before he could stop the tiny boy

Jimin goes through the emergency contacts and realizes he wasn't on it. He understood that Jungkook was faking from his overall demeanor. He fumes.

Jimin pauses his anger when he sees what his name was saved as on Jungkook's phone

Jimin doesn't know if he should be offended or to coo at the contact name

Jimin fumes and stares at Jungkook who looks at him innocently in pain. Jimin understood that Jungkook was acting so he pinches the man out of frustration on the bandaged arm

The nurse standing close by looks at them "Sir... please be careful... he really is injured..."

Jimin feels bad "I'm sorry..." Jimin bows "...let me call your mom..."

Jungkook immediately stops him "...Don't call her for silly things"

Jimin frowns "...So you do know its a silly thing for which you called me"

Jungkook whines making a pouty face "...I can't move my arm because you pinched it now"

Jimin tries to control his smile seeing Jungkook's cuteness

"...is that how you take care of a sick person?" Jungkook continues his drama

"It is... if they are not sick" Jimin crosses his arms across his chest

Jungkook's eyes widen "What do you mean?"

"You are faking... aren't you?"

"I don't know why you would ever doubt me..." Jungkook pouts

"For starters I'm not your emergency contact"

"I had plans and because of you I had to cancel them" Jimin frowns

"I'm sorry but he isn't good enough for you" Jungkook says

Jimin is surprised and confused

"What?"

"Jiminah... you seriously don't know how I feel about you ... after all these years? I thought we had something going on..."

Jimin gulps staring at the man who looked back at him with so much vulnerability

"..Were you really gonna go on that date with the guy from your dance class?... do you really like him?"

Jimin understood that Jungkook misunderstood his plan for the day

"Why should I tell you?" Jimin shrugs

Jungkook sighs "You don't have to... but you can..."

Jimin smiles internally "...Well to answer your question...Yes and yes"

"Oh..." Jungkook looks away making Jimin laugh

"You big baby! I was just joking... he is my cousin brother and he was just taking me to meet his new girlfriend"

"Oh.. oooh..." Jungkook's eyes widen and then there is an awkward silence "...you mean I sprained my hand for nothing?"

Jimin laughs "...let me relieve your pain a bit..since it's because of me ." the boy says sitting next to Jungkook on the bed and leans in to peck Jungkook's cheek

Jungkook's eyes widen as a small blush appears on his cheek "I will get injured again and again if I can get this medicine" Jungkook says making Jimin giggle

"What does this mean?" Jungkook asks after a moment

Jimin smiles "It means I love you too"

Jungkook grins wide as he pulls Jimin to lay down beside him on the bed, hugging him from the side

"You are officially my boyfriend now Park Jimin"

Jimin giggles "I wouldn't have it any other way Jeon Jungkook...I love you"

"I love you more" Jungkook says leaning in to kiss the boy's forehead
