Jungkook was famous for being the college heartthrob and also for being rich. Many people would stare at him, it was usual but Jimin's stares were somehow different and he hated it. Most people would look away when Jungkook caught them looking at him but Jimin would still continue looking at the taller man as if he had the right to and it infuriated Jungkook. Jungkook didn't appreciate Jimin's stares - he found it creepy. He felt Jimin didn't deserve to look at him. He felt Jimin was judging him and he didn't like it one bit

"Hey who are you looking at?" Taehyung asks looking to see where Jungkook was looking at "...oooo finally you like someone?" The man teases "...Jimin isn't half bad... he is quite liked by the teachers and his classmates..."

"How do you know?" Jungkook asks still looking at Jimin, as he and his friends leaned against the corridor wall

"You know my brother is in his class... he told me..." Taehyung sighs looking at Jungkook's face "...yah! Stop glaring at him! He won't fall for you if you do that!"

Jungkook looks to his side, finally looking back at Taehyung "...how do I be his friend?"

And now why was Jungkook suddenly interested in befriending a guy he found creepy? - because earlier Jungkook's rival in football had given him a bet to seduce Jimin and break his heart

Jimin is from Busan and he moved to this prestigious college with a scholarship. He lived in an orphanage before. He struggled hard to gain enough money to make this move. The moment he saw Jungkook and heard about how the man was arrogant and never allowed people other than his besties near him, Jimin was intrigued to know about him. People called the man heartless but he has seen how Jungkook would feed the pigeons in their college compound or pet a stay dog - things too subtle if you didn't pay much attention. Clearly, Jungkook had a caring side as well which Jimin instantly recognized, maybe its his years of experience with various people with varying personalities he had to encounter because he was less privileged. And also maybe the start of Jimin staring at the man was because one day Jungkook saved his ass from kissing the floor and Jimin's classmate had said he was lucky to have been touched by the Jeon Jungkook

Jungkook finally approaches Jimin and asks him to help him with his studies. Jimin agrees, it is not the first time someone has asked for a help like this. They soon hang out by themselves or with Jungkook's friends. They had developed a sort of friendship before Jungkook asks Jimin out on a date - a friendly date since Jimin said he wasn't interested in a relationship

Everything was going well and Jimin was actually going to ask Jungkook to be with boyfriend when he overhears Jungkook talking to Jungkook's cousin

"What? Jimin is a bet to you? I heard A/N talking about it..."

"Yea... he was a bet made by A/N... you know how much I hate his guts... he dared me... I couldn't back out..."

"Due to your ego?" His cousin frowns

"I hate that man and I didn't wanna look weak... besides you know how much I hate being stared at... Jimin just wouldn't stop staring and thats why A/N made that bet and prove to him that I didn't love Jimin just because I also looked at him.... and I took the bet because I wanted to know what Jimin's deal was... why he always stares at me?...I hated the way he stared at me, I couldn't even see his face, his face covered by those loose hoodies, it irked me...."

Jimin went away with a broken heart

"Really? But your eyes say something else..." his cousin comments
