Emanon watched as the man in front of her arranged a vase of flowers near the sink. Today, he had worn light blue shorts and a baggy grey T-shirt; his unkept hair, as usual, was a little shorter than she remembered. He must have gotten a haircut recently; it certainly looked a little shiner, almost like sterling silver. He filled the vase with water, and as he walked to put them on the window sill, he glanced her way. With curious eyes and a gentle, warm smile, he laughed.

"Yes, Emanon?" Warren asked her.

"Hmm?" She replied.

"Do you need something, my dear?"

"No, just admiring you."

"Are you now?" He said and sat at her bedside.

"Just admiring?"

"Just admiring." She told him.

"You look a lot better since I last saw you," he said, tucking her hair behind her ear.

"I feel much better, too; come closer, please."

"Is this not close enough? You missed me that much?" He teased.

"I did, so come here. I need to be held. I need to be touched."

"Oh yeah?" He said, and he leaned in to kiss her.

"I'm literally still here..." Jack said in annoyance. He had been sitting on the couch near the window.

"Your son needs attention." Warren teased, and she laughed.

"Ugh, it's only been five days. Do you have to flirt first thing in the morning?" Jack asked.

"You didn't feed your son breakfast before you came?" Emanon teased Warren.

"Hello!?" Jack exclaimed.

"Yes, Jack?" Warren and Emanon said in unison. Jack scoffed in response.

"I'll leave so we can feed the boy, and then I'll be back..." Warren told her.

"Alright." She replied.

"I'm... 30... Not a boy... 30!" Jack exclaimed.

"You sure throw tantrums like a boy, come on..." Warren said, and he grabbed his coat but not before kissing Emanon goodbye. They left the room afterward.

Emanon had been in the hospital since the hotel incident, getting daily treatments of blood transfusions and fluids. The nurses had also been giving her pouches of baby food. It seemed she had been much more ignorant of her species than she thought, which confused the hospital staff greatly. They couldn't understand how she only had ten years of memories. She was fully grown but couldn't recall anything before being held up in a facility. She told them what she believed to be her memories, and they asked if they could confirm by drinking her blood.

"This isn't right; what you believe to remember and what your body remembers does not match up. Your body is also much younger than what you believe to be your age. Are you sure that your contract with Warren is your only one?" One of the nurses asked her, but she couldn't answer.

They had been monitoring her since then and even asked if they could request an investigation on her. She told them she was hesitant because she didn't want to be discovered by someone. Five days later, they have only been able to bring her back to health. There is no further information on her possible past or explanations for why she knows so little about herself.

"You should know so much more than what those arrogant monsters told you from doing tests." They had told her.

It had been on her mind since. She was left in her thoughts when Warren and Jack didn't occupy her space. She then heard a knock at the door.
