Note 20 - Unintentionally Cruel

When Warren and Anika returned from the boardwalk, Theo, Emanon, and Jack were still passed out. 

"I told them to watch Emanon, not take a nap with her..." Warren said as he sighed. 

"I'm sure they were tired too. It seems lots of people didn't get much sleep last night." Anika replied. 

"Right, haha..." 

"Should we wake them since we brought breakfast?" Anika asked. 

"Yeah..." Warren replied and kicked Theo. It wasn't hard, but he kicked him. 

"Ow!" Theo exclaimed, waking up Emanon and Jack. 

"Oh, come on, It wasn't even that bad." Warren scoffed. 

"Breakfast!" Anika said enthusiastically. 

"What do we have to drink?" Jack asked as he rubbed his eyes. 

"We have water, juice, and blood..." Theo replied. 

"No booze? The girls didn't pack any liquor?" Jack asked. 

"No, Anika is not of legal drinking age, so the girls did not pack liquor..." Theo replied. 

"Oh my god, I'm sorry Anika, do- Is it okay for you to hang out with us?" Warren asked Anika. 

"It's okay. Theo met my grandparents and offered to be my guardian for this trip, so we're good." She replied. 

"Wow, Theo did that?" Warren said and looked at Theo. 

"What?" Theo asked. 

"I didn't realize you were capable of being dependable."

"Thanks..."

"So wait, Anika can't drink at all?" Jack asked. 

"She can drink under my supervision, but she is not allowed to get drunk per her grandparents. I told Anika I wouldn't tell and that she was in good hands. If she wants to get intoxicated with Emanon, that's fine. Girls should have fun on beach trips." Theo replied. 

"Wow, I'm impressed..." Jack said. 

"Look, I'm capable of being a responsible adult, dammit!" Theo yelled. 

"I don't know, my mind's pretty blown too..." Emanon said. 

Theo sighed. 

"So, we can buy liquor then?" Jack asked. 

"I don't know how I feel about you drinking, Jack..." Warren said. 

"I wanna drink!" Emanon chimed in. 

There was an awkward silence that fell on them. Warren, Jack, and Theo looked unsure about how to answer. 

"We can't?" Emanon asked. 

" I think it'll be fun. It's a good way to get closer, right? Telling stories, eating a good meal with a good drink." Anika replied. 

"Well, if the girls want to, then sure..." Warren replied, and the girls cheered. 

After they finished their breakfast, the guys decided to get in the water, leaving Emanon and Anika with their stuff. 

"So...Tell me..." Anika said. 

"Hmm? Oh! Right! Okay, so apparently, Jack went bar hopping in the city the other night. He almost went home with some man he didn't want to go home with, and Theo just so happened to run into him since he lives in the city and intervened. Jack brushed him off, but Theo was worried about him, so Jack told him that he had to buy him drinks, and then they both went bar hopping. THEN, they ended up at Theo's house and got fairly intimate, but then Jack freaked out, and Theo took him home, and Warren got pissed. Yesterday! Theo and Jack went out to eat, and when Theo returned to Warren's house, he asked him if he could share what he had done to him at the hotel."
