Maddie was currently sitting in a class that she knew was a new one.

Remedial Goodness.

It was beyond boring.

She knows she was taken to the Isle but she didn't understand why she had to be in this class. She wasn't a villain, sure her mother was but she never interacted with her.

Her father wasn't a villain, he just had a mental disorder. Alice had vouched for him when the United States of Auradon were taking people to the Isle. Or in his case, taken back to Wonderland.

Maddie was raised here in Auradon, she knew the proper ways to sit, to talk, to do in a situation. Her best friend was a prince and one of her mother figures was his mother, the queen.

She boredly stared out the window, seeing the students walking around. She looked at the kids in front of her. Mal and Evie directly in front, with Jay and Carlos to her left.

She tried to peek at whatever Mal was focused on. She could see her staring down at her paper, a drawing on it.

A wand?

Of course, how could she forget, Fairy Godmother's wand. She remembered Maleficent's deal, or what she had wanted Maddie to do.

She would bring it up again, try to see what they were up to.

She was not going to let them ruin her chance of being in Auradon.

Her view was obstructed by Mal moving, Fairy Godmother had called on her for the answer to whatever question was being asked, she wasn't listening.

"C, give it a bottle."

Apparently she had been called a couple times before because Carlos gave her a compliment. How long had she not been paying attention?

Maybe Mal was secretly good?

"Just pick the one that doesn't sound like any fun."

Maybe not.

They all nodded and made sounds of approval like that was the answer to everything.

Maddie rolled her eyes, there was no luck for these guys. Yet, ever the optimistic she held out hope. A little of it but it was still there.

A few seconds later a girl walked in, she tried to be quiet and small but her little squeals gave her away. She walked to Fairy Godmother, papers in hand.

"You need to sign off on early dismissal for the connotation." Her voice shook a little, glancing back at all of us.

Mal elbows Evie a little when she looks back, Maddie remembering the way their body language looks at the girl.

When her eyes met Maddie's, the Hatter gave her a small smile, a friendly one that relaxed the other a small bit before she glanced back at the purple haired girl, which made her seem frightened again.

"Everyone here remembers my daughter Jane." Fairy Godmother introduced her.

Jane. Maddie didn't remember her. She tried to think back but nothing popped up.

"Mom. No!" Jane glanced at her mother. Her eyes wide as to tell her to stop.

When Fairy Godmother tried to introduce her she said a weak little hi, letting us know to not mind her and scurried off.

What a curious person.

Maddie was tired and in desperate need of being literally anywhere but there. So after Jane left and Fairy Godmother turned around to the board, Maddie grabbed her bag and notebook and scurried off.

The only person that seemed to notice her was Carlos. She looked back and caught his eyes. She simply smiled and held a finger to her lips. In a way to let him know to keep quiet.

He nodded his head, a small twitch of his lips starting to turn into a smile before he turned around and kept his eyes forward. She stared at the boy for a moment, happy that she was befriending the boy. She quirked a smile before she glanced at the fairy who was starting to turn around to address the class.

Maddie's smile dropped and she ran off before she was caught.

Maybe she would travel into the village nearby.

Maybe she would try to find Alice or Cheshire.

Maybe she would walk to her old cottage.

But she most definitely needed to find somewhere that had tea.

Because it was way past Tea Time and she knew she could never break that tradition.

She never had broken it, all those years on the Isle, she found a way to steal some tea from Ursula's fish n chips shop. It wasn't the best but it got the job done.

This time, she would drink her tea and get some answers.

If she didn't get her tea, she just might go mad.
