She figured she shouldn't just leave without saying anything to anyone. So she headed to Ben's locker and left him a note telling him that she was out exploring and would be back soon.

She knew he would still be a little worried but he had to have a little faith and trust in her.

As she walked into the village she noticed all the different people. Their clothes, their auras, their happy faces. Some even greet their neighbors, the frequent "bonjour!" being said.

One person offered her a beautiful green hat, one that reminded her of her fathers. She gave him some coins and bought it.

She could tell this place was peaceful.

Everyone she passed gave her a smile. One that she returned.

The first place she stopped at was for tea.

Mrs. Potts Tea Shop

What a wonderful place.

As she walked in she looked around at the walls, they were filled with various tea pots and tea cups. All white with beautiful florals.

As she walked up to the counter a nice older lady was smiling while she decided what she wanted to drink.

What she would have noticed if she wasn't looking at the menu was that the old woman was staring at her with wide eyes.

The woman stared at her green hat, she could see the red hair going down her shoulders, and the young girl's eyes, they were brown yet one looked lighter than the other full of light.

She knew whose child this was.

She knew who this girl was.

She knew of what became of her family.

Yet she said nothing and just smiled at the girl when she looked back up.

"Hello, I didn't notice it on the menu but would you by chance have a white rose tea?" Maddie asked, her voice soft and kind.

The woman's eyes twinkled just a bit, the look of nostalgia on her face. Like daughter, like father.

"As a matter of fact, I have a special spot just for that tea. Go ahead and take a seat dear, I'll bring that out to you." The woman said.

Maddie smiled, trying to give her some money for the drink but the woman simply shook her head.

"No need dear, think of it as a gift. An unbirthday gift." She gave Maddie a knowing smile before walking to the back.

Maddie stood there for a moment before giving herself a confused smile and walking to an empty seat outside.

As she sat and waited she could see people going on with their life. Happy smiles on adults' faces. Kids running around with bags of candy or kites flying high behind them. Dogs chasing their owners, cats sitting on ledges. Birds chirping on window sills.

She looked at the buildings, all various sizes, some roofs blue, some green, the rest brown. The shutters on the homes being opened and closed by the families who live within.

The street vendors trying to make their money, to provide for their families. The vegetable stand has varieties of tomatoes, carrots, lettuce, and so on.

The fish market, not far from it. She could see the baker talking to a woman, holding a pan of bread. She could see the cheese stand man carving out some for a blonde man purchasing it, his children running around by the stand.

The flower shop, putting out fresh flowers next to Maddie while she was sitting.

Wild flowers to be exact.
