This is not an update. But a thank you note to all of the readers who have been diligently reading both of my published stories.

2000 reads for The King's Shield in a short time of 5 months.
And 1000 reads for The Partham Chronicles in just 4 months.
It's not much compared to the number of reads and votes other stories are getting but it is a big deal for me.

I am stoked. Thank you so much, my beautiful readers. ❤️

I joined Wattpad in 2020 but didn't publish anything for three reasons. The first being I was not ready to be scrutinized and judged. I didn't think that I was good enough to write a full story. I started writing poems very young and had written short stories, but I never thought that I would write a novel. I love reading, I read a lot every day. So I thought of writing a story which I would love to read. But couldn't gather the courage to publish one. Then one of my friends told me that regret is always worse than failure. So, I decided to either fail at it rather than regret not writing it.

Secondly, I didn't have a plot ready for the stories. I am a planner. I planned the outline of each story that I wrote and then after editing it twice, then published it.

Thirdly, I am an underwriter. The chapters are mostly around 2000 words. I lack the skill of writing long passages and I genuinely hate writing fluff. I hate reading fluff, and so I hate writing it, too. So, I thought that I wouldn't bother my readers with nonsensical stuff that wouldn't add up to the overall story in the end.

Now, about The King's Shield. It's my first ever story in the romance genre. The idea sat on my desk for a long time but finally made it into a story. I don't read romance, so before writing it I did a lot of research in the genre and read a lot of books. And I swear to God it was exhausting. I also read many stories on Wattpad for the same, and I assure you that I have come out unscathed (believe me, some are unreadable; they exist in a void). And then there are some wonderfully written romantic stories on Wattpad. Kudos to those writers who can write such a difficult genre so well.

The reason I ask for comments on the writing is that I am still learning how to write, and feedback would truly help me write better( the best thing that happened after publishing on Wattpad is that it helped me improve my daily word count, and I am happy). So, I would appreciate it if my beautiful readers would give me feedback in the comments (even if it's a negative one, I am open to suggestions) because I am always open to learning and improving.

Thank you again, my Lovely Readers, for the response.

Love RTW ❤️
