Adhiveer had never felt this much at ease at the palace before. For the first time, his palace felt like his home, it felt complete. So this is the feeling that Uncle Bhairava was talking about. Coming back home.

If Sidhraj had not taken them to their quarters, he would have taken Shiva away from everyone else. Show her around the palace, take her to the garden, show her the ponds, take her to his chamber, stop... Stop acting foolishly he corrected himself. You are not able to put words in the correct order when you talk to her and you desire to take her to your chamber? You are going too fast, slow down he thought.

They did not meet for the rest of the day. He'd yearned to see her. But Bhairava had said that all of them were resting in their quarters. She was here with him at the palace, he decided to pacify his heart with that thought for now. He had a restless sleep.

The next day, after the morning bath and prayers firstly, he rushed out into the yard to see if she was awake. He didn't find her in the palace compound. He called his maid and asked where the new guests were housed. He had gotten to know that they were housed at the quarters where palace guards lived.

He talked with Sidhraj and asked him why they were told to stay there. He said " Because you ordered me to house them there. It's where all the palace guards lived."

"Then who are the ones housed just beside my chamber? The ones that I see from my window?" He asked.

" They are the royal guards," Sidhraj said furrowing his brows. " Adhiveer are you unwell? I understand you must be tired from the journey."

" No, I am alright. I am fine." He replied.

"You were the one who made these arrangements a long time back. Remember? Do you have a fever?" He asked

" No, I don't, and yes, I know, I remember." He was annoyed.

" Are you going to tell me what happened? I have known you since we were in Gurukul. You cannot hide anything from me. You are my friend first, then you're my king." Sidhraj said with a stoic expression.

" I have not been myself lately." He confessed.

" Yes I know, I have seen it. Since we have been to the Raankai River." Sidhraj confirmed.

" It's not what you think, I am... I have been...haunted."

" What?"

" Not haunted, um possessed..."

" What rubbish."

He opened his mouth and closed it again. " There is someone, who has possessed my body and mind. And I am not able to put my thoughts together."

" It's Shiva isn't it

" It's Shiva isn't it." He said with a smirk.

" Waha...how do you know? Adhiveer's eyes widened.

" You have been gawking at her since the day you saw her. You followed her to her village, and now she is here. You think I didn't notice?" he shook his head." Did you even speak to her?"
