Two dates in one day

~Sans POV~

is she gonna go on a date with him or just the hangout? i'm too far to hear...
I think as I look around a tree. Papy just gave up after she kept walking out of the "jall" and was walking with him to the house.

When they entered, I teleported into my room, peeking through the door cracks.

It went the same as always, Pap's telling her about everything as they walk around, them going to him room...alone

don't work yourself up sans, he dumps her at the end like always....but then why do I feel like this? that's your own Innocent brother for the angel's sake!

After close to an hour, Papyrus came out of his room with a look of guilt as he left the house and Frisk was left in his room.

She didn't seem fazed about what happened.
does...she remember? that's a dumb question, of course she remembers the resets. but does she remember the last one....?

~Frisk POV~

Papyrus just "dumped" me and friendzoned me. I wasn't fazed. it was, after all, what I expected to happen. But still, I had to act hurt.

After a few more minutes I walked out of the house and continued on my journey towards Waterfall.

Same as always, there was MK, the guy that tells about the Eco Flowers and Sans at his one of many snow topped posts.

"what? haven't you seen a guy with two jobs before? fortunately, two jobs means twice as many legally-required breaks. I'm going to grillby's, wanna come with me babe-um, kid?"

What did he say?
"Sure, I could go for some food right about now" I replied, shrugging

"heh... well, if you insist.. I, um, have this shortcut. follow me."

We went left into the next corridor and he grabbed my hand. when he did, darkness engulfed us for a moment. I didn't need to find my balance when we landed a inch off the ground.

~Sans POV~

I guess she's not surprised with the shortcut..
We headed into Grillby's and I greeted everyone inside.

"you know kid, you've been acting strange. like you know what's gonna happen."
I need to know if she can remembered the last...
"you didn't really seem fazed by pap or any of the monster encounters. do you.....nah"

I looked back down at my burger, stopping myself from finishing and trying to ignore that ghost bastard that's floating awfully tooo close to me

~Chara POV~

I don't trust the way that was entirely dialogue was going......this comedian is hiding something

"Hey Frisky, check this out!"
I unscrewed the top of the ketchup bottle so that it was loose. Sans picked it up and offered Frisk some but she politely declined. When he about to use it, the lid fell off and out came all the ketchup

Frisk put a hand over her mouth, trying to hold in a laugh

The comedian looked at me from the edge of his eyes sockets, glaring, before looking at Frisk and letting out a chuckle

I was surprised by that
Did he just glare at me? I know for a fact only Frisk and Flowey can see me but.....I need to keep an eye on him

he scratches the back of his skull
"hehe...I wonder how that happened"

I float in-between him and Frisk. leaning forward to stare at him with a hand one my chin and the other hand across my chest under my elbow

"Um...Chara?" Frisk whispers confused.
I ignore her and continue to stare at him.

But all he does is look slightly confused before "what was that, kid?" he said to Frisk

"oh, um, nothing"

A few minutes go by and then he looks at the clock on the wall of the bar "welp, I gotta go now. take care kid"
he gets off of the stool and just before he leaves he looks over his shoulder "oh and grill's, ya can put it on my tab"

After the fire monster nods while cleaning a shot glass, the skeleton leaves the establishment

Frisk eyes follow him. she looks at me then Grillby, who just nods, before sliding off of the stool and running out too

"Frisk wait!" I hurry after her.

She calls out for Sans as she slows down before stopping a good five feet away.

He stops walking away and looks over his shoulder "yeah kid?"

"why....why did you ask that question? what were you gonna say?"

"... i was just wondering something but thought better of it"

"wondering what?"

"I....." he takes a moment before replying to Frisk "I was just going to ask if you remember the resets"

I looked at Frisk to see what she'll say
I knew the comedian knew from what he said on the Genocide Route but..

there was a moment of silence where just the snow fell around them

"Sans I......" she takes a breath "of course I do, I have the power to reset. Why wouldn't I remember?"

I was surprised once again "why would you say that?!"

~Sans POV~

I was shocked by what I heard. And relieved.
so...she does remember? that means...
"so what do you...what timelines do you remember?

"Well, I.....I remember that I once did Genocide Runs. That I once left the Underground, leaving you all with the Barrier and no king. That I broke the Barrier and everyone got to live on the surface and that..." She paused before finishing "That once we had a life together."

Turning all the way around to face her, I say, "you...remember that? but I thought-"

"OF COURSE I DO YOU BONEHEAD! I thought you would hate me for resetting.....do you?"

"oh course not! frisk, I love you. why would I be mad? I thought that since the reset didn't happen immediately after you died that it would never happen. do you know how depressed everyone was after the funeral?"

Tears were starting to form in her eyes. Then, she ran up and hugged me. Burying her face into my jacket.

"Sans...I...I..."

"it's ok." I said, rubbing her head.

"But...I don't remember dying! How...-"

"Let's change the subject for now for now."

Chara pinched the bridge of his ghosty nose
"I can't believe these lovesick idiots...."

I glared at him "shut up"
