WARNINGS: Blood Consumption

Dominic was on the phone with his father, trying to calm him down. Ace could hear Peter scolding him.

"Dad, would you stop yelling," Dominic said, "I... Don't tell Derek... You know why. He's gonna get the whole pack involved... Dad? Dad, you there? Hello?"

Dominic looked at his phone. Peter had already hung up. Ace chuckled at his irritation.

He handed Dominic a glass of liquor with blood mixed in it. Dominic wrinkled his nose.

So far, he's only drank the blood that Klaus gave him. After drinking it, he didn't remember their conversation or what happened.

"That looks disgusting," Dominic said.

"Don't knock it till you try it," Ace smiled, "Drink up, buddy."

Dominic lifted the glass to his lips and took a sip. This blood had an odd taste that wasn't as disgusting as he expected.

If anything, it tasted like a metallic, whiskey flavor. Dominic hummed at the somewhat pleasant taste.

"Good, right," Ace smirked.

"Yeah. Are you gonna teach me how to be a vampire," Dominic asked, "I'll need a mentor."

"Sure, if you want," Ace shrugged.

"Honestly, I trust you to teach me more than anyone else," Dominic said.

"Dominic, are you sure you're feeling okay," Lake asked.

"Yeah. A little shaken up, but I'm fine," Dominic said.

"What's up with the ring," Lake asked.

"A daylight ring. Klaus had it made for me," Dominic said, glancing at the ring on his finger.

"You were born a werewolf, Dominic. Even as a hybrid, you don't need a daylight ring," Lake said, removing the ring from him, "Klaus probably used this to keep tabs on you."

Knowing Klaus, he probably had a backup plan, in case Dominic didn't fall in line.

The last thing Lake wanted was to find him dead because his ring suddenly 'stopped working'.

"I have to run into town. My uncle wants to meet up," Ace said, looking at his watch.

"Do you need back up," Dominic asked.

"Damon is impulsive, but he's not evil," Ace smirked, "He wouldn't hurt me."

"Dominic should go anyway. It'll be a good teaching moment," Lake suggested, "Also as much as I'm helping the Mikaelsons, I don't exactly trust them."
