Dominic took a walk outside to recharge his mind. Around his friends, he was okay with talking for hours.

But in the Mikaelson ball, he was too tired to stick around. His social battery was drained, but he didn't want to leave his friends either.

He looked up at the sky. Dominic stiffened as he felt someone watching him.

He looked around at his surroundings. The parking lot looked mostly empty, so maybe he was being paranoid.

Then he saw the coyote staring at him behind a truck. Dominic's eyes glowed yellow as he extended his fangs.

The coyote charged at him, lunging at his head. Dominic shoved the coyote's snout into the concrete.

The coyote moved out of his grasp and bit down on his leg. Dominic growled, clawing at the coyote's stomach. The animal yelped in pain, blood dripping from the wound.

Dominic stood up and knelt over the coyote. He extended his claws. He was about to bring them down until the coyote turned human.

Dominic got off of the animal. His look of confusion turned into concern.

"Malia? What the hell are you doing here," Dominic asked, helping her up.

Dominic took off his blazer and placed it over her.

"You haven't been calling," Malia said, "Everyone got worried."

"I'm fine. You shouldn't be here though," Dominic said.

"Your eyes were yellow. Last I remember, they were blue," Malia said, crossing her arms, "Want to tell me what that's about?"

"I don't know. I got kidnapped, and next thing I knew, my eyes were yellow," Dominic said, shrugging nonchalantly.

"You're not worried about this? The last time something like that happened, Derek was turned into a teenage boy," Malia said.

Dominic smirked while recalling that memory of Derek. He was smartass, even as a teenager.

"Well I haven't started de-aging yet, so that's a plus," Dominic said, guiding her to the car, "Come on. Let's get you some actual clothes."

Dominic sent a quick text to Sasha. Then he drove Malia to their house. Once he got her some clean clothes, Malia went to speak with him.

"Did you come up here by yourself," Dominic asked.

"Yeah. Like I said, we were worried," Malia said, "And so was Dad."

Dominic rolled his eyes at the mention of their father.
