Three Days Later
Music blasted in the background while Dominic exercised. Sweat dripped from his skin as he bounced on his toes.
The jump rope swung fast enough to blur for a regular human's eyes. He went faster as the beat dropped on the song.
His mind traveled to Finn. His face, his eyes, his voice, his scent... Dominic did everything he could to remember the vampire he lost.
Lake swore she would find a way to bring him back. She's been holding her promise. She even contacted Rowena to get more help.
In the meantime, Dominic returned home to Beacon Hills to grieve. He began to spiral out of control in Mystic Falls, getting aggressive with others around him.
His newfound hybrid DNA made him dangerous for his friends, whenever he was triggered. Ace chose to join Dominic in Beacon Hills.
That way, he could still mentor him about controlling his bloodlust. Dominic's eyes shifted, his vampirism pushing through on his face.
The music paused, distracting his exercise routine. The jump rope hit his shin harshly, creating a swollen, red mark on his skin. It healed over in minutes.
Dominic turned his gaze to Derek, making his vampirism relax.
"I didn't think you'd be back so soon," Dominic said, catching his breath.
He folded the jump rope and placed it over his shoulders.
"You seem to be more energetic, compared to yesterday," Derek said.
Yesterday, Dominic stayed in his bedroom all day. He would barely speak to anyone. Isaac tried to keep him company along with Ace, but he still wouldn't pay them any mind.
"Just trying to find an outlet for these emotions," Dominic said, "Do you need me gone?"
"No, I wanted to talk to you," Derek said, "It's been a while since we last spoke."
"Okay. What do you want to talk about," Dominic asked, grabbing his shirt.
"I would like to know what happened in Vampire city," Derek said, crossing his arms.
'Vampire City' was the nickname that werewolves gave Mystic Falls. Whereas, vampires nicknamed Beacon Hills 'Werewolf Territory' or 'Werewolf Central'.
Both groups of supernatural stayed away from their territory... Most times.
"I'm fine. I just need to get over this and go back home," Dominic said.
"How did you meet him," Derek asked.
Dominic thought back to when he first saw Finn. It was at the Mikaelson Ball. Finn barely paid him any mind.
