Chapter 19:Be careful
Stefan's POV
The rude awaking of my alarm clock forces me to drag myself out of bed and turn it off. I go over to my phone, to see if anyone tried to get ahold of me. A smile spreads across my face when I see my lock screen of Elena and I. Its 6 am, school doesn't start till 8, I go over to my dresser, grab some dark blue jeans and a grey v-neck t-shirt. I pick it up and it smells like Elena. I quickly throw on my clothes and a little cologne. By this time its only 6:10. I grab my phone and click on Elena's name and hold it up to my ear.
Elena: "Hello?"
Her voice still sounding tired, I must of woken her up.
Stefan: "Hey baby, sorry for waking you. But I was wandering if you wanted to go out for breakfast?"
Elena: "You mean blood first then breakfast?"
Stefan: "Yes of course."
Elena: "Sounds great. I'll be ready in 5."
Stefan. "Okay. I love you."
Elena: "I love you."
I hang up the phone, extremely happy and go down to the basement and grab some of my own blood. Once I finish my bag the five minutes had been up, so I quickly drive over to her house. I walk up to her door, and ring the doorbell. "Right on time!" Elena says happily, swinging on her school bag. "Anything for my girl!" She smiles shyly as she gets in the passengers side. "Um, so have you heard from Damon today?" I asks nervously, since I haven't seen him at all this morning. "Uh yeah. After you called me, he called me. He said he's taking a quick out of town trip for a couple of days. He'll be back Friday." "Oh thats good, it was starting to worry me." "Um so do you uh, have any blood for me? We don't keep any in the house, Jenna is still coping with everything." "I did. Its in the back if you'll grab it. Hopefully its not to warm." She rips the top off of it with her teeth and starts draining the blood out of the bag. "Mmm, not its perfect." "I can see that as you've already drank three fourths of the thing." I say chuckling. "Shut up!" She says punching me in the arm. "Ow! Vamp princess is strong!" I say teasing her. "Oh would you just drive already!" She says also laughing. We talk the whole car ride. It feels perfect to have Elena back in my arms. It just feels right. We soon arrive at the breakfast diner and quickly eat. "Crap it's 7:05. We should get going." I say signing the receipt so we could leave. "Oh yeah! Your right. I have enjoyed our breakfast, Mr.Salvatore." "The feeling is mutual Miss.Gilbert." Elena giggles as we leave the diner and head back to school. "I've got to really work hard to catch up. If I still want to get accepted in to the NHS."Elena states flipping through her binders. "NHS?" "National Honors Society. If I get accepted every year then it's practically guaranteed that I'll graduate with Honors Distinction and Valedictorian of my class. Which all makes my chances of getting into Vanderbilt that much stronger." "Vanderbilt huh?" "Uh yeah. My hope is to study Pediatric Physician Assistant with a minor in Physical Therapy. I kinda already had my life figured out before I met you." "Well, looks like you got some new competition for valedictorian." "Really?" "Elena, as long as we're together, I plan on going to collage with you. And I love collage and medical school. Not gonna lie though the blood does make me dizzy." "Oh my God! The blood! I didn't even think about that!" "We'll figure a way around okay baby?" "Yeah okay." "Ready for school?" "No." "Well good thing I have this." I pull out a velvet red box. "Stefan what's this?" "Open it to find out."
Elena's POV
I open the red velvet box and find a gorgeous necklace. Engraved on the necklace is 'I love you.' "Stefan! This is gorgeous!" "I'm glad you like it!" "Like it? STEFAN I LOVE IT! I LOVE YOU!" We kiss in a loving embrace. "Ready for school?" "No, but I do love necklace so sure." Stefan gets out of the car and gets my door. "Thank you." Stefan kisses my forehead and we start to walk to class. "Love birds!" Caroline remarks. "Caroline." We say in sync. "Oh btw Geometry first period for all three of us." She says. "Great!" I say in a sarcastic tone. "Come on you'll be okay baby." "Meet me by my locker?" "Of course."
Caroline's POV
"So you two are awfully cuddly." Elena blushes at what I say. "So you finally broke it off with Damon?" "Uh.. about that.." "ELENA WILLIAM GILBERT!" "Look I'm going to soon, but Damon left town, so I can actually be seen in public with Stefan for two days. Please let me do me." "Fine. But be careful, Damon has a way of getting information." "Ok yeah I kno-" Elena gets cut off. "Miss.Forbes." "Principal Klaus." "What was that?" Elena asks closing her locker door. "I can tell you after Friday." I say smirking. Stefan comes up behind Elena and wraps his arms around her waist. "Hey." He says. She turns around to face him. "Hi." He kisses her, you can practically see the Sparks shooting off of them. "AH YOU TWO ARE TOO CUTE!" the both blush. "So geometry or what?" I say flipping my hair and confidently walking my way to class. All three of us enter the classroom and I'm pleasantly surprised. "Hello class I'm principal Klaus. Ms. Thompson is absent from class today so I'll be teaching. Notes will soon be shown on the board soon please copy the notes precisely." And with that Principle Klaus makes his way back to his seat at the desk. I look up from my note taking and glance over at Klaus he looks back and winks at me. I turn my head and see Elena looking at me. I blush and quickly resume to my note taking.

Elena's POV
When I look up I see Caroline blushing at Klaus and Klaus winking at her. I take out my phone and text Stefan.
To Stefan: Did you see that!?!
To Elena: See what?
To Stefan: Caroline was totally blushing at Klaus and he winked at her!
To Elena: They might of hooked up or something. Who knows but there is something I don't trust about that guy.
To Stefan: Same here. I'll talk to her after class.
To Elena: K. I love you Elena.
To Stefan: I love you Stefan.
I put away my phone and blushing more than Caroline. By the time the bell rang my notes were finished 10 minutes ago. I put my stuff in my bag and see Stefan waiting for me at the door. "Hey baby." He says wrapping his hands around the small of my back. He gently kisses my lips. "Hi." I respond blushing like crazy. "Come on we should go find Caroline." I say sad to end our sweet moment. We walk through the halls trying to find her. It was break period. She could be anywhere. The final place we check is the cafeteria and there she was drinking coffee. "Hey Care!" We both say at the same time. "Uh hey guys." She says a little weirded out. "So the homecoming dance is in two months! Thought about who you might go with?" I ask care suspicious. "uh no not really." "So no boys catching your eye?" "Elena are you okay? This is really weirding me out." "Okay look Care I saw you and Klaus and we just have a bad feeling about him." "Well I don't and he's really sweet and he makes me feel human again kinda like the way you two feel for each other. And frankly it's kinda nice. So yeah I'm going on a date with him tonight and it's my life not yours. So stay the hell out of it!" With that Caroline storms out of the cafeteria. "Wow." Stefan says to me. "Yeah." Is all I could say. "Come on. Let's get ready for next period." Stefan says standing up and kissing my forehead. We walk to our lockers and get ready for next period. We repeated the same pattern until the day ended.

Klaus' POV
Happy when the school day ended I go home and begin to get ready for my date with Caroline. I take a shower and put on my nice looking suit. I head down the stairs when I'm interrupted by Rebekah. "And where do you think your going all dressed up?" "Oh darling Rebekah. I have a date tonight with Caroline Forbes." "So someone actual found attractive. Impressive." "Well that's not the interesting part. Her best friend happens to be Elena Gilbert, döppleganger of Katerina Potroiva. Oh and Elena's boyfriend happens to be the one and only Stefan Salvatore. Seems like everything is falling into place now doesn't? Now if you'll excuse me I have a date." I slide past Rebekah and into my car. I drive to Caroline's house and knock on her door. She answers with in no time at all. "Ready for our date?" I reach out my hand to her.
