It wasn't like you had any way to know this was all premeditated.

There hadn't been enough time between all the events, for you to feel the dreaded anticipation of worry at the fact that your loathsome Housemates hadn't harassed you now that they had plenty enough reason to.

Well, maybe except that one time.

A couple of Ravenclaws had settled at the field, setting up a large blanket for everyone to sit and picnic on as you approached. They were Will's friends, nice enough, so you didn't mind joining in.

"There she isssss!" Will shouted a little too loudly as he wrapped you in a hug. "How did the test go?"

"Not b-aad," at first, you almost couldn't reply you were so shocked by his random boost in confidence. "But I don't like these ones. 'To test our memories of previous year's materials' sounds like an excuse to give us less free time, if you ask me."

"Look at her, trying to make us look like dumb losers!" Pushing Will off and turning your head to mock-glare at one of his mates, the darker-toned-maybe African-Ravenclaw had a mask on of fake despair.

"I don't need to make you look like a loser when you already do that without my help." You immediately regretted your words when Will looked awfully mischievous... Until you were thrown over his shoulder and he ran away from everyone with a sparkly white smile.

"Let's show (Y/N) how much of losers we are! Catch her like she's a Quaffle!"

"Put me down! Will!" You shrieked as he bounced around.

"Don't drop your girl!" Another one, maybe two years older than you, called over, but making no attempt to stop him.

Gee, thanks...

Then you registered what he'd said. His girl? No-

Seemed like Will also felt like this was too much and he put you down. All of the blood rushed from your head when he let you go, and you stumbled backwards.

Just in time.

"(L/N)! HEAD DOWN!" You turned in time to see a black, iron ball zooming towards you. Because of your well-timed stumble, it whizzed past your face, though your heel clipped a hole in the grass and you fell on your butt.

A familiar dirty-blond-floppy-haired boy ran towards you with a fake frown sketched on his brows. "That coulda ended worse," Avery said as his gaze dropped down your body and back up. "Bludger got away from us."

"Oh yeah, so clever to play with a Bludger when you're not even playing Quidditch," the African guy responded in your stead.

Glad you weren't the only one catching onto his BS-you could tell he was trying to play it off as an accident when it definitely wasn't.

Avery completely ignored the Ravenclaw's remark and instead made way too much direct eye contact for your liking. He looked like he was about to say something else, but something past your shoulders caught his eye and he decided to go run after the aggressive ball instead.

Your mouth pulled into a questioning frown as you tried to figure out what wrecked his nerves. Two shadows falling over you answered that question. Will and his friend stood shoulder to shoulder behind you, very unhappy that he almost decapitated you.

Turned out Avery's description of you, the one he made during your first ever meal with him, was far more accurate than his spells. You kept snitching on all of them and they found it necessary to get their revenge on you for it, only, this revenge backfired on them and ended up with you earning 200 points for Slytherin due to saving someone's life. But only 100 were added to the tally, the other 100 were deducted for Avery's stupidity.
