Chapter 1

| |Wooo first chapter is here. This was almost three pages on Google docs. I hope y'all enjoy.||

||| Angel's POV |||

"YOU USELESS WHORE!"

Dad was screaming again. I was curled up under the counter, trying to hide from the glass beer bottles being thrown at me. He only does this when he's drunk. Normally he just yells.

He ran out of bottles and went to the fridge to get more, I took this as my chance. I ran upstairs and locked my bedroom door.

I got my phone off of my bedside table and called my aunt. Her name is Merida, she's my only family left that loves me. When she picked up all I could do was sob into the phone.

"Hey, calm down. What happened?" She was trying to calm me down. Eventually I was able to stop sobbing.

"Now can you tell me what happened?" She asked again.

"I-It's Dad again." I whispered.

"Oh, Darling, I am going to come pick you up. Is that okay?" This is why I love her.

"Yeah, I'll start packing," I said, being calm now.

I got my backpack and started putting my clothes and necessities in it. I was able to know my aunt was her when I heard her screaming at my dad. I walked down the stairs with my backpack. When we were driving away I could tell he wasn't happy.

"Did you ever think of going to college?" She asked after a couple of minutes driving.

"I wanted to, but I wouldn't be able to pay. And there was no way mom or dad would pay for me." I said dejected at the thought.

"Well there is a college close to where I live. And it's far enough away you shouldn't run into your parents. I was thinking, If you want, I will pay for you to go there."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I might actually get to go to college. I couldn't contain my excitement. Reaching over, I hugged my aunt tight.

"Oh my god, thank you so much. I love you. I love you."

She smiled at me with the same excitement that I had. The rest of the ride was silent. When we got there she showed me inside and into the guest room. It was getting late, so after showering I played down and went to sleep.

I woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon. I walked downstairs to see Merida had made bacon and waffles. I sat down and she put a very full plate in front of me. We sat in silence until I asked.

"So when does school start?"

She looked up at me and answered. "It starts in a couple of weeks, I was thinking of going shopping for new clothes and things for your dorm today. You will also need a computer."

I looked at her surprised. "I don't want you spending any more money on me, Aunty." I said sternly.

"Well too bad I am spending more money on you."

I knew there was no way to convince her otherwise, so I sat there and started eating again. I won't tell her this, but deep down I am excited to go shopping. It's been awhile since I got new clothes. I also am happy to get a new computer, dad broke my last one.

When breakfast was done I went upstairs and got ready to go shopping.
