KALANI'S POV-HOURS LATER:

I was currently finishing up the last bit of my work for my last online class of the day. I got up extremely early so I could get straight to work.

I think I woke up at 3, same as yesterday. I snuck out of Nick's room at 4 then came in here to get my work done.

I had eaten a bowl of cereal before I started but I was suddenly craving ice cream. I really should've asked Tristan to get me some ice cream when he went to the store yesterday.

After another hour I had finally finished all my work for the day and all my studying. I had a makeup exam tomorrow so I would take time out of today to study for that every now and then.

"Baby?" I looked over my shoulder when I heard Tristan's voice. He stood at the end of my bed shirtless.

"Yeah?"

"B's looking for you." He said as he leaned down and kissed my cheek. I smiled and sat up.

"For what? Am I in trouble already?" He chuckled before he shrugged.

"He'll be easy on you." I rolled my eyes before I stood up.

"Where is he?"

"He should be in his room. I'll be downstairs whenever you're done." I nodded before I skipped down the hall to Brandon's room. I didn't bother to knock because he's the one that called me in here anyway.

"Brandon?" I said as I looked around his empty room.

"In here." He said from his bathroom. I walked over, covering my eyes just in case.

"What are you doing?' I heard him laugh.

"You might be naked." I shrugged.

"I'm fully clothed, baby."  He said with a small laugh. I opened one eye to make sure he wasn't lying to me. When I saw that he was fully dressed I walked in and jumped up on the sink.

"What's up buttercup?" He came over to me and gripped both of my legs before spreading them so he could get in between them.

"Well first," He started before he leaned in and kissed the corner of my mouth.

"Did you sleep well?" I nodded and grabbed onto his shirt.

"When did you wake up?" I thought about telling him the truth, but I decided that wasn't a great idea.

"7:00." He looked at me with a knowing look before he cupped my cheek.

"We're lying to each other now?" Shit.

"I-"

"I'd appreciate it if you didn't tell me another lie, Kali." I bit my lip and looked down. I know I should just suck it up and tell him but I don't know what he'll do.

"3:00." I mumbled. He sighed before laying his head on my shoulder.

"Why didn't you say something, Kali?" I shrugged before sliding my hand into his hair.

"It's fine, B. It's good, I get my work done and stuff so-"

"You don't get any rest, baby. How can you say-"

"B, I'm fine. I promise. I went to sleep earlier so I'm more rested. It doesn't bother me." He sat up and frowned at me.

"Yet. It doesn't bother you yet. Just because you don't feel any fatigue now doesn't mean you won't in a week. You need rest, you shouldn't be up so early working."

I felt like a kid after getting sent to the principal's office. This is exactly what I was trying to avoid. I didn't want anyone worrying about me. I'm fine. Totally fine.
