Kali's POV-Same day:

I sat and listened to Taylor rant about her new lady friend and a family barbecue that she had invited all of us to. Taylor wanted me and the guys to go so she wouldn't be alone.

I didn't mind the idea but the guys wouldn't do it. They didn't like Taylor enough to do something nice for her, even if it was just once. And since the barbeque is literally tomorrow they definitely won't be on board.

I'd have to do some serious convincing to get those four idiots to even consider going with us. I didn't have a choice but to go, I couldn't leave my baby all alone with complete strangers.

She was already nervous because she had to meet this girl's parents and now she has to meet the whole family. I'd literally be crying myself to sleep right now.

Meeting your new partner's parents? Much less her damn family? The cousins, the aunts, the uncles, the siblings? All of them? No ma'am. I'd have a heart attack the moment I stepped in the door.

"Please Kali! I can't go by myself! I'm so scared." She cried as she threw herself over my lap. I couldn't help but laugh a little.

I mean come on, big bad Taylor Porter afraid of meeting her new lady friend's parents? That's not like Taylor at all. She's always so headstrong, never letting anything scare her or change her.

This girl must really be something special to knock Taylor off her game like this. She's never been like this for any of her last little "flings" as she calls them. I actually can't wait to meet this girl.

"Oh please! Oh please! Oh please!" She begged. She stuck out her bottom lip and gave me that puppy dog look. I couldn't tell her no with that face.

Besides, how bad could it possibly be?

"We'll go."

20 MINUTES LATER:

"No."

"Nope."

"Hell no."

"Fuck no."

I groaned at the answers I was getting about the barbeque tomorrow. I knew they'd say no but to actually hear them say it is aggravating. I just need them to act right for five seconds!

"We're going!" They all looked at me before they burst out laughing. Do they think I'm a joke? Because I don't find NOTHING about this funny.

"I don't even like that redheaded cockblock, so why would I do this for her?" Austin asked, tilting his head. He's just mad he didn't get to finish what we were doing earlier.

"I'm her brother and I don't wanna help her." Tristan said, kicking his feet up on the table.

"Yeah I don't like that motherfuc-"

"WE'RE GOING AND I DON'T WANT TO HEAR A WORD ABOUT IT! I SWEAR IF ANY OF YOU COMPLAIN I'LL KILL YOU MYSELF!" They all frowned and pouted at me, all but Brandon. He just sat there and stared at me.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked frustratedly.

"What if I don't want to go?" He asked, tilting his head.

"You ain't hear what the hell I just said?" He bit his lip before he shrugged.

"If I'm going there's something in it for me." Of course this little boy wants to play with me right now. It's always him.

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Are we getting something out of this?" Austin asked quickly. I rolled my eyes before I sighed. I guess I can give them some compensation for doing me this one little favor.
