I woke up in a cold sweat, my heart was racing and my mouth was dry. I had a bad dream, like a really bad dream. I've been having them a lot lately. Everynight, to be exact. Even if I'm only taking a nap I have one.
I haven't said anything to Taylor or any of them, mostly because I didn't want them to worry. I'm fine. I'm just recovering. The nightmares will eventually stop, I know they will.
Or at least I hope. Sometimes, they feel real. And sometimes I feel like Tony's really here, watching me, stalking me, plotting against me.
I try to convince myself it's all in my head, which I know it is but I know there's something deeper to it.
I sighed as I leaned against the headboard. I looked down at the digital clock on my nightstand and sighed. 3:28. I know I can't go back to sleep, so I might as well sit here and watch TV.
Or maybe I should sign up for my online classes, Taylor brought my laptop yesterday before we got here so I have it. I might as well get something done.
I slid out of the bed before I went into my walk in closet. I left my bag in here earlier and I think my laptop is in there.
I grabbed my bag before I sat down on the carpet floor and pulled my laptop out. I crossed my legs before placing my laptop on my lap and opening it.
Taylor said she had already talked to the dean about my situation and had them transfer me to online classes but she said I needed to log in to all my classes beforehand.
I typed in my password before I went to my email. I had like 300+ missed emails. I opened the important ones, or at least the ones tagged as important. After roughly two hours I had gone through all of them and signed into my online classes. I start tomorrow.
"Kali?" I looked up when I heard Austin. What is he doing up?
"I'm in here." It was a few seconds before he finally waddled in. I smiled seeing him in batman pajama pants without a shirt. It was the cutest thing. He rubbed his eyes before he looked down at me.
He shrugged before he came and sat down beside me. He laid his head on my lap before he said something,
"Why are we on the floor?" He mumbled.
"I'm on the floor because I was working on something. But you? I have no idea." I said before I softly brushed my hand against his head.
"Mm. Wanna eat cereal and watch Spiderman with me?" I nodded and pushed his head off my lap.
"Do you guys have fruit loops?" He shrugged before he stood up and yawned. I rolled my eyes before I shut my laptop and slid it into my bag. I pushed it aside then stood up.
"Why are we eating cereal at 5 in the morning?" I asked as we headed downstairs and into the kitchen.
"Hungry." He mumbled before he sluggishly made his way over to the fridge to grab some milk.
"If you're so sleepy, why not go back to bed?" I asked as I leaned up against the island.
"Can't sleep." He shrugged.
"Want me to sleep with you?" He perked up when I said that. He turned around and smiled at me.
"I mean actually sleep." He rolled his eyes before he nodded.
"Do you still want cereal?" I shook my head and he nodded. He put the milk back before he came over to me.
"Can we lay down on the couch?"
"If that's what you want." He nodded and grabbed my hand, pulling me into the living room and over to the couch.
He basically threw himself down before he looked up at me, waiting for me to join him.
