How the Story could have been

Hello, 😁

As I was going through my files today. I stumbled across this version of chapter 2. And thought I couldn't keep it from you.

Just a little info, in the original version, I had planned for Sorscha to die and Clodagh to be kidnapped.

The story would have followed Quinn growing up without parents and slowly uncovering the truth about them.

There wouldn't have been a happy ending in this version of the story.

But I thought to myself when I wrote this chapter back then. That it would be too dark after all. And then I rewrote it into the current version.

But here is chapter two as it was originally planned.

Sorscha dropped onto the sofa. She exhaled loudly and rested her head on the backrest.

Clodagh sat down next to her. " Darling... You look tired..." she stroked a strand of hair from her wife's face with her hand.

" I am..."

"Then go to sleep..."

Sorscha looked at her. She reached for her hand and squeezed it tightly.

" It's all right..."

But Clodagh shook her head. " Don't worry about me... Get some rest..."

Sorscha's sleep was restless, she couldn't find any real peace. She was trapped in a nightmare.

When a loud noise woke her from her sleep. She sat up and listened.

Had she just dreamt that?

But then she heard a muffled, deep voice.

Someone was here. Sorscha got up and quietly made her way to the bedroom door.

She opened it carefully and stepped out.

There they were again. Voices. Had her parents already returned?

From her position, she could see the front door, but there were no children's scales in the hallway.

She slowly walked down the stairs without making a sound.

"You're coming with us!" a deep voice murmured.

Sorscha pressed herself against the wall.

"We've found a pastor to talk to you about your problem..." a woman's voice rang out.

Sorscha was now in front of the living room door, still pressed against the wall.

"No.....", that was Clodagh.

"Do you need to be beaten into sanity?" Wait a minute. Derek.

Sorscha's heart was racing. She looked in the direction of the house phone. Carefully, she tried to sneak back. But she bumped into the chest of drawers in the hallway.

Suddenly there was silence behind her.

"Is anyone here?" Derek spoke sternly.

"No....," replied Clodagh.

Her wife was so strong, she had to get her out of there quickly, Sorscha thought. She looked at the phone again and wanted to move forward carefully.

When Erica came out of the door that connected the kitchen to the corridor in front of her.

She was holding a knife with trembling hands. The tip pointed at Sorscha. "Not another step!"

Sorscha raised both her hands. "If you do that. You'll end up in prison," said Sorscha.
