They soon avives at the Island of the keeper, the islanders fight against Kalmaar as he try's to reach the storm amulet. But keep failing at holding Kalmaar back and away from the amulet. The ninja leap into action and help the islanders keep Kalmaar away, but somehow, Kalmaar keeps beating them.
Kai: HOW THE HELL DOES HE KEEP BEATING US?!?!?
Luna: Let's figure that out later, Nya, get him back to the water.
Nya: I'm on it!
Nya moves the sea water to bring Kalmaar back to the ocean, but he when he raised his trident, he controlled the water to fall. Luna saw the design of the trident and looked over to Lloyd. He looked at her, and it was as if they read each other minds. They knew how Kalmaar controlled the water.
Luna: I told you!
Lloyd: Gloat later, (to the others) we need to get that trident away from him.
Jay: (sarcastically) Oh sure, that'll be easy.
Luna: Ask why later, get the trident!!
They all —at the same time— headed for Kalmaar, and tried to get the trident. They failed. They kept trying to stop Kalmaar, but at the same time, the ninja (except for Luna and Lloyd) are confused on how he's controlling water, when Nya can control water. Every time Kalmaar controlled water, Nya's powers were getting weaker. Kalmaar reached the storm amulet and recited a spell in ancient
Merlopion. The storm amulet turned into a trident, the went on the other side of trident that moved water. Kalmaar escaped in a lightning bolt, and the ninja went back to the Bounty, and promised to return the storm amulet. They others demanded an explanation on what they just saw Kalmaar do.
Luna: It's an old spell the overlord made, to make the sea and storm amulets to make into weapons of the holder's choice, the holder being Kalmaar right now.
Cole: But how does that explain why Nya's powers are getting weaker.
Lloyd: Don't forget, the sea amulet is connected to Nya's powers and the storm amulet is connected to Jays.
Jay: So my elemental powers are going to get weaker too?
Luna: I'm afraid so Jay, the more Kalmaar uses the tridents, the more your powers will get weaker.
Zane: So how do we stop him?
Lloyd: There's two ways, we get the tridents away from him and change them back into amulets.
Kai: And the second way?
Luna: Jay or Nya turn into their element and destroy the trident.
They looked at Lloyd and Luna like they had turned into their Oni form and destroyed half the city and tried to kill them.
Kai: Are you insane!? We lost Nya the last time she did that!!!!
Luna: You don't think I flipping know that!!
Lloyd: Calm down sis, you too Kai.
Kai: Are you actually suggesting that Nya turns into the sea again!?
Luna: Flip no idiot!!
Cole: Then what are you saying?
Luna: If it comes to it, Jay has to do it. Mainly because if Nya turns into the sea again, then Kai's gonna try to kick my ass.
Kai: Try? I think you mean are.
Luna: I give you an old school ass whooping all the time when sparing, what makes you think you can.
Kai's about to fight Luna and Luna's powers are charging up. Nya and Jay hold Kai back, and Lloyd starts pulling Luna out of room.
Lloyd: Let's take a walk sis.
Luna: We need to talk, brother.
The two head into their bedroom, and with the camera, the other listen to what they're saying.
Luna: Lloyd, you know more than I do that we'll lose this fight.
Lloyd: Ninja never quit remember.
Luna: I know that, but Lloyd, you know that Jay won't do it and Nya can't do it. If they don't do it, you know we have to merge together to stop Kalmaar.
Lloyd: We never tried it, nor did we practice it! It can't be us.
Luna: If Jay or Nya can't do it, it has to be us, Lloyd. There's no one else to stop him if we can't.
Lloyd: I know your right,
Luna: Because I'm always right.
Lloyd: but I need time to think about it.
Luna: Then you better think fast, once this final battle against Kalmaar starts, we need to be ready to finish it if Jay can't.
The two walk out and head for the others, who try to act natural when they rejoin them and pretend they heard nothing. The twins don't buy it.
Lloyd: How much did you hear?
Jay: Nothing, that's all we heard 😅
Luna: Zane?
Zane: Every word.
