The Teenage Years of Scrooge McDuck

Chapter 9

1 year later.....

I was living in an apartment and I hadn't seen Sophie in over a year I missed her so

I think about her every day how I kissed her and then gave her no explanation.

How she said that she would come and see me but she never has.

I just turned seventeen a couple of weeks ago and I'm working at a restaurant as a cook it wasn't as good as living in that mansion and feeling cared about for the first time since moving to America. I wanted to start my business but I didn't have enough I wanted to go on other adventures but not without Sophie.

I got home one day my normal routine of eating food that I made before my shift ended sitting down on my bed and reading the books that I had gotten from the library on my way home and my comfort book "The Adventures of Isabella Finch." I was relaxed and felt better than usual when I heard a knock on my door.
"I thought I had paid my bills already what do they need from me now?" I whispered angrily "I just got in a good mood"

I opened the door and I wasn't expecting to see her at least I thought it was her she looked so different she had her hair longer and a green streak in her hair and a white tank top and black shorts "Sophie?"

"Oh my God Scrooge!" She said hugging me she placed her hand in my hair "It's been a while."

"Yeah, it really has," I said rolling my eyes I was happy to see her but upset at the same time she said she would have seen me awhile ago over a year ago.

"I wanted to see you so bad pretty boy but I was never allowed outside and it was really hard just to train with Olivia and I've learned to control my powers." She said showing me her her glowing hand.

"That's amazing but won't you get in trouble?"

"Yeah but I don't care I want to spend the day with you I miss you McDuck," she said playing with my hair again and then looking at me with her emerald eyes.

I couldn't say no to her she was as beautiful as when I last saw her so all I could say was "ok."

Sophie slept on my bed and I slept on the couch. I told her she needed to sleep on the bed and I would sleep on the couch but she refused and when she fell asleep I put her in the bed and I fell asleep on the couch.

When she got up she put her hair down with a green summer dress like it was a date so I put on a buttoned shirt with nice pants and I took her on a picnic.

"Well, pretty boy this is good!"

"Well, I've been working in a restaurant for the past 2 years now."
"Are you serious?" She said, "I'm still mad about him kicking you out you know."

"It's ok with the money from when we wanted the find the shadow sword I rented that apartment and it's cozy."

"Hey scroogy." she said looking deep into my eyes

"Yeah?"
"I know it's been a while but we need to talk about what happened in the enchanted library."

"Curse me, kilts Sophie that wasn't meant to upset you I know I shouldn't have done that without your consent I'm sor.." she put her finger on my beak and laughed "Pretty Boy I liked it."

"Wait really."

"Yes oh my god I liked you a lot since that first day with you saving me and all and me telling you about my birthmarks." she punched me "You idiot."

I held her hand "You're my first love Sophie and I didn't want you to be uncomfortable or anything I hope you know that."

She looked at me her face turning red "I love you, Sophie Buchman."

"And I love you Scrooge McDuck." she pulled me into a soft kiss we were like this for what seems like forever.

"I don't want to leave you ever again," I said to her putting her head on mine.

"Me too I'm gonna talk to my parents tomorrow." She said to me "And I'll start my life with you."

"That would be amazing."

That night we kissed again and waved goodbye hoping to see her again tomorrow
