The Teenage Years of Scrooge McDuck

Chapter 18

Sophies P.O.V

I woke up in some sort of weird place it was like some field and the sun was bright. I saw someone in the distance I couldn't tell who it was until he got close I saw the green streak in his hair.

"Leonardo?"

"Yes, my dear Sophie."

"Oh my God, I'm in heaven."

"Well, not yet I need you to tap into your golden power."

"My what?" I asked

"Golden power your true potential." he walked closer to me and he put his hand on my shoulder. "Sophie you are the most powerful being in the universe you're the only person who can stop it and for that, you have to make a sacrifice.

"No.... I can't... I can't leave Scrooge... our new life...." I cried

"Sophie it's the only way to get rid of him."

"No, I can figure it out." I said pounding on the ground "Let me wake up!!!"

"Sophie just so you know with the powers you have it comes with sacrifices." He knelt down next to me "Please remember that I had to go through the same way. With your grandfather and your great-grandmother, I had to leave them because of this monster and to protect them and the rest of the world..."

I woke up from that sort of dream and got myself out of the monster's grasp. My green energy was stronger. I started to fight him with my green energy. 

It was finally the next morning

My seventeenth birthday

Scrooge and Olivia ran beside me as they got back. While we were fighting scrooge was trying to talk to me

"The Buchmans are dead!!" He yelled

"What how?" I asked using fire to fight him off

"Well I used the shadow sword and blasted them." he said showing me the shadow sword his eyes turning purple "It hurts me to use it but I know how too..."

I  interrupted him and slapped it out of his hands "Then don't use it!"

Olivia ran over to Alex to try to get him out of the trap but then he put Olivia in one of the traps.

Scrooge and I were fighting the monster when he blasted shadow magic at Scrooge I wasn't paying attention I let my guard down for a couple of seconds then Scrooge went in front of me and took the hit we were so close and the monster took down the love of my life he looked like he was about to die.

I went to him and the Shadow monster went the other way.

"Sophie you got to go and get...."

 I interrupted him again "Scrooge I can't lose you."

He showed me his hip it was bleeding out "Scrooge I'll heal you." I said

I had to save the world I looked at my hands and remembered what Leonardo told me "Sophie just so you know with the powers you have it comes with sacrifices." I looked at Scrooge hurt and the monster coming for the whole city and remembered what else he said: "With your grandfather and your great-grandmother, I had to leave them because of this monster and to protect them and the rest of the world..." Then I realized  I needed to save the city the world and the most important of all.

The love of my life.

I tried to get the most green energy I could and it blasted everywhere my eyes and my blonde hair turned golden my armor and green outfit became a golden dress and my green streak glowed the most I've ever seen.

I felt like a god.

I healed Scrooge as much as I could flew up and saw Scrooge knowing this was the last time I would probably see him.

"Scrooge I love you so much."

"Don't... don't leave me." He said groaning in pain he handed me an engagement ring and I burst into tears he knew I would most likely die and he was right  "I wanted to spend my life with you. I wanted to marry you and have kids and grow old together..."

"I want the same thing. But I have to save the world and you..." I said putting on the ring " I'll never forget you pretty boy I promise."

"Sophie there's another way."

"I'm paying you back."

 He laughed trying to smile and wiped the tears off of his face "Go save the world."  I put my hand on his face and played with his hair I kissed him the most passionately I ever had knowing that was gonna be the last time I would ever kiss the love of my life the person who saved me.

 Scrooge McDuck.

I flew up and looked at Scrooge and I flew away to the monster near the towers he was sucking up souls left in right. I got there and blasted with my golden energy making him go across the city we fought and fought when I knew what I must do I needed to open the dimension of the monsters.

I flew far away from him so I could start the process. My skin turned a gold color my whole body burning I pointed it behind the monster who was running toward me from the other side of the city I finally started getting the portal to work knowing I needed to go too to get him in I grabbed the monster with my nonhuman strength and pushed us in..... With the last thing I saw was the people of New York City looking at me and the roar of the Shadow monster...

                   "Goodbye world this is Sophie Buchman signing out..."
