The Teenage Years of Scrooge McDuck

Chapter 17

We ran out of the caves as fast as we could and into the woods outside of their house knowing that's where they would be.

We left Olivia and Alex there Alex can't be near the Buchmans there all they needed was for him to open it. We got there and hid behind the bush knowing we had to wait they didn't know Alex wasn't going to come.

"They think he's gonna come any min..." Sophie shushed me and pointed showing Alex had gotten out and was now about to use the shadow sword.

"Sophie I'll distract them you get Alex," I said giving her the sword next to me I looked at the portal about to open.

"Ok be careful I love you," Sophie said kissing me on the cheek.

"I love you more my love," I said squeezing her hand.

I jumped out of the bushes and flipped and grabbed the shadow sword "Come and get it you blabbing buffoons."

They chased after me now knowing that they couldn't finish the portal without the sword.

As I continued to run I forgot the sword can make you see nightmares if you weren't the right user of the sword I started seeing Sophie dying in my arms and the Shadow monster killing everyone I cared about.

I stopped running trying to fight it

"I believe in Sophie I know she'll fix this and I won't let the Buchmans win" My eyes started to glow purple. I could use the sword I still have the thoughts but now I can use the sword

"Scrooge?" someone asked behind me I saw Crystal with Olivia who looked like the spell had worn off from her.

Olivia hugged me "Did you find Sophie?" 

I thought she would remember but couldn't remember a thing 

"Yes, I did she's fighting Alex long story," I said

But then I saw the Buchmans behind me with weapons I'd never seen before I got ready with the shadow sword I was fighting them one versus two

I used the sword and tried to open up a portal to make them go in but instead, I blasted them with shadow magic making them both turn into ashes and burning them alive. Crystal screamed it was the saddest scream and loudest scream I had ever heard to this day. She picked up her parent's ashes

"Curse me Kilts. I'm sorry cryst......" She pushed me away so hard that I fell over

"YOU PROMISED ME NOW LOOK AT MY FAMILY I HELPED YOU, SCROOGE!"

I dropped the shadow sword still trying to comfort her but she then punched me and ran away so fast I just gave up and didn't run after her knowing me and Olivia needed to help Sophie....

                                                                     Sophies P.O.V

                                            (While Scrooge was fighting the Buchmans )

I had just seen Scrooge run away with my fake parents right behind him. When I couldn't see them anymore I jumped out I thought he couldn't open the portal anymore without the Shadow sword but Alex found a way his shadow powers were so strong now he could open the portal himself.

I tackled him to get him to stop now he was fighting back stronger than he was earlier. I fell backward but it was too late the monster came out as big as I saw but I was confused I thought he needed his other brother to be that strong I assumed from being in a dimension full of pure evil monsters that he could just eat all of the souls of the evil monsters.

He roared and the potion must have worn off on Alex because he looked confused the monster didn't hurt Alex but put him in a cage he created from the shadows but Alex couldn't teleport out. He saw me and roared he had to know I was related to Leorando by the green streak in my hair and went straight toward me and grabbed me I couldn't get out as much as I tried, I had tried wind power and my green energy even transforming into a small animal nothing could get me out of his grasp.

He opened his mouth and tried to take my soul

I was fighting for my soul and my life......
