THE Letter

My eyes shot open, and I quietly gasped for air. I could feel the sweat on my forehead and the pre-migraine too.

I woke up from a nightmare, one where Mom wasn't actually gone and she came back and took me away from Dad. Though, Im sure he wouldn't let that happen. Second Sense was going off a lot too, which is creepy because it's never wrong.

A week had passed since the entrance exam. I was still waiting on my letter... 'I wonder id Midoriya and Uraraka got in...?'

I shook it off, got out of bed, went to the bathroom, brushed my hair and teeth, hopped into the shower, changed into a cute winter outfit, and checked the time. 7:00 am. That's sorta early but whatever.

I went downstairs and found a note on the kitchen counter that was next to a plate of breakfast food. It smelled familiar, must be Dad.

The note read, 'I had to leave for early patrol, I also need to do some things at my agency so I'll be gone most of the day. Do as you wish, if you want to go somewhere ask someone at home. They'll know who to call. Breakfast might be cold so heat it.

-Dad

I placed the note down and picked up the plate, I put it in the microwave and set the timer. I quietly watched it spin as I thought about what I'd do today, 'Hmm... I could go for a walk around the city... explore and stuff. Maybe I could stop somewhere to...'

The microwave beeped signalizing it was ready. I grabbed chopsticks, and the plate and sat down at the table. I began eating the food, I ate it quite quickly because I wanted to get out of the house. Once I was done I washed the plate and put it in the dryer rack, I ran upstairs and filled a mini backpack with my phone, headphones, gum, cash, my card, and mini-perfume just in case, and that was about it.

I made my way downstairs and when at the front door slid on my snow combat boots. I grabbed my F/C scarf, wrapped it around my neck, and opened the door, I called out to everyone in the house, "Im heading out! I'll be walking so no need to call anyone!" I closed and locked the door behind me.

I began walking out of the mansion driveway, once I made it to the end I checked the mailbox, there was an envelope inside, I grabbed it and carefully put it in my mini backpack not caring to see what it was. I made my way up towards the city leading to my old apartment. The one that didn't collapse, also the one Mom killed herself in, I was curious about how it looks after several months. I plugged my headphones in and began playing music, I hummed to the melody of the song as I walked.

I made my way to the train station and walked down the stairs entering it. I got on a platform and soon the train arrived, it was heading to my 'home-town'. I entered it and took a seat, I glanced around to see the train was rarely packed. 'huh...' After a few stops it was my turn, I got off the train and climbed the stairs back to the surface, this part of Japan wasn't as pretty as Tokyo or Musutafu, it looked like the hood to be fair.

I walked with caution, I had stopped the music in case anyone decided to jump me. I stopped walking and turned to look at an apartment complex. It looked crappier than I remember. But whatever. I also remembered the place I used to work was not too far from here, so why not pay a little visit?

-Timeskip-

I was currently on a train back home, it had been a few hours since I left home. I wonder if Dad was back by now. Eh.

I stopped by my previous workplace, the 'new' employee was on shift and was happy to see me, I bought two bags of chips and two Sodas, I caught him up on what had been happening, leaving out the Best Jeanist and Uncle Kei and Auntie Rumi part, along with the why there's a bandage over my nose part too. He was proud and said I would for sure get in.
