Tadashi's POV:

I yawned while checking out the last customer for my final shift here, I had finally saved up enough money to move into a new apartment. One preferably closer to UA. It was a good price for the size and the reviews seemed alright. So once I get home I am so buying it! When I was younger I always wanted to be a hero. And at least be in the top five. But for some reason when I got my quirk, Mom said I'd never be 'special'. Whatever that's supposed to mean.

And after she died I gained my spark back and started using my quirk getting the feel for it.

"Alright, have a nice day!" I told the sweet old lady who always came here and gave me a secret tip. She was sweet and I loved her. But I had to move from this city, it brought back bad memories.

"Alright sweetpea, you too, I hope your move goes well. You deserve it dear," She smiled sweetly picking up her bags, I nodded and smiled back. Then she left, and I sighed and speed walked into the break room, "You're shift," I said to my co-worker. He had just started a month ago, and I was the one who trained him.

"Alright, thanks. We'll miss you Dashi," He said putting on his uniform, I nodded in acknowledgment.

"I know. Good luck," I took my bag out of my locker and walked out the back door beginning my walk home.

The sun was setting, and man was it pretty. I always admired it.

The apartment I was moving to was in Musutafu, I know. Not the closest to UA, but it was the cheapest option for me. I was only turning 14 in April! Yeah, I was born pretty early into the year, making me an eighth grader but only 13. I felt singled out because of it at times.

I yawned again and stretched my aching body from standing behind the counter all day. Wouldn't have to do that anymore. I paid off the new apartment so I didn't have to worry about bills, of course, I still had groceries but I could just pick a restaurant job or something.

I climbed the stairs brought out my key from my pocket and unlocked my door walking in. Ever since Mom died I was able to clean up the place, I didn't have many belongings either so it wouldn't be hard to move without a car. Which I was grateful for. I went to my room and grabbed two bags filled with my only belongings, which again, were not much but clothes and other necessities.

I put my pale golden hair in a messy bun and exited to apartment for the last time. Leaving everything behind. I went by the Dropbox and dropped the key off in there. I was giddy with excitement. I decided a little exercise would be good so I ran to the train station, once I got there I went to the platform and waited for my train to Musutafu. The UA entrance exams were in 10 months so I still had plenty of time to practice my combat skills and quirk.

The train soon arrived and I stepped on, sitting at an empty spot, it was quite empty this time of day which I enjoyed. I looked around to what I thought was an empty train, then found a figure in the back in a corner. I squinted my eyes to get a better look. Oh! It was a guy with some fabric around his neck and in black attire. He seemed to be sleeping. I turned my head away to not stare since that's rude.

The train thumped ruffly for a second causing one of my bags to fall, "Eh! Dammit..." It connected with the ground with a 'thump', of course waking the guy up, "Heh... sorry..." I picked up my bag, and I could feel his stare, which I gingerly avoided. My ears are red with embarrassment.

"You look young, why are you on the train at this hour?" He asked curiously, his voice deep and somewhat scary. I still avoided eye contact. Who was he? Why did he look familiar?

"Uh, heading home... from work," I mean, I guess I wasn't lying right? I technically was coming home from work.

"You work this late? Are your parents aware?" Jeez... that hit a nerve. And WHAT? Why does he even care?
