A week goes by. You and Rebecca have been seeing the guys since. You've been excited to be around Charley, especially. The more you were around him, the more you felt close to him. He seemed to admire you as well as you have with him.

You're in your apartment right now. You and Rebecca both. You're on your usual spot. The couch. You've got your radio on and playing the song Bidin' My Time by The Foursome. You're kind of singing to it as you look at a magazine.

Rebecca hears your singing and she looks at you saying, "I'm surprised you haven't taken up being a lounge singer, at least." You say, "Oh, I wouldn't have what it takes, sis." She says, "Sure you would. The looks. Your voice. What could it be?" You say, "Maybe stage fright." You turn the page in your magazine and you hum to the song.

You look at her and you say, "Besides. You know how daddy would feel if I of all people went up there and all of those men are around, gawking their eyes at me or even trying to touch me. He would kill them."

She says, "Right. Of course. But it happens when you're a young and beautiful woman, (Y/N)." You look away and you sigh and smile. You whisper, "Besides. The only man I wanna be touched by is Charley.~"

Rebecca says, "Speaking of which, we're due to meeting up with them again, today." You look at her and you smile. She says, "I saw Edgar today and he told me he and the boys have some poor sucker that owes them. Whatever it is, I'm sure the guy is screwed." You grin and you say, "His own fault for crossing the Butcher Gang." She says, "I taught you well."

You both hear a knock on your door and Rebecca gets up saying, "I'll get that. You stay right there." You say, "Alright." You sit back and you listen to your radio. Rebecca walks to the front door and opens it.

There stands the landlord. Rebecca says, "Yeah? Do I owe you today or what?" The landlord who is Mr. Roger Sutton says, "Nah. Actually, I want ya outta here by tomorrow." Rebecca says, "Pardon me?" You look over and you turn your radio off to listen.

Mr. Sutton says, "I know of ya's. Miss. Rebecca. It's been told you're workin' for the notorious gang. The Butcher Gang. I want you and your sister outta here. Tomorrow! No exceptions. Can't believe I let a couple o' criminal floozies live in my complex. God have mercy on your damned souls." He walks off.

Rebecca shuts the door and she says, "Shit!" You say, "What? We're being kicked out?" You stand up. Rebecca approaches you and she says, "Listen, (Y/N). I know where you and I can reside." You say, "Where at? We don't have anywhere to go."

She says, "We do, actually. It's our only chance with a roof over our heads." You say, "Not Hooverville." She says, "God no. We'll live in the warehouse with the boys." You grab her hands and you say, "So long as you're with me."

She pulls you close and holds you close. You hug your arms around her and you say, "You're the best sister I could ask for, Rebecca. I couldn't imagine my life without you." She says, "You'd have dad." You say, "True. But still." She says, "Yeah, I know."

You look at Rebecca and you say, "I don't mind living in the warehouse. Better than the shanty homes." Rebecca says, "You said it. Let's pack our things. We leave, tonight." You say, "I still need to call daddy to let him know we won't be living here, anymore. He still sends me stuff."

She says, "Go ahead and do that. Let him know where you're at. He won't give a damn where I am. Just you." You nod and you run to the phone in your guys' apartment. You pick it up and you call your dad's number.

It's just your dad's now because after you moved out and moved in with your sister, he divorced your mother. So, he lives in a place of his own. He only stuck around her for your sake. Even the phone in your apartment is from your father. He did it for you.

You get this, "Hello?" It's your dad's voice. You say, "Hello? Daddy? It's me. (Y/N)." You hear him saying, "Ah, princess. How are ya, huh?" "Alright. Daddy, listen. Um... How do I put this?" "What's going on, honey? What's wrong with my little pride and joy, huh? You sound distressed." "Rebecca and I are being kicked out of our apartment?" "What?!" "Yeah. Our landlord came to our door and told us to be out by tomorrow." "Ah, that rat bastard. Where are ya gonna go, huh?"

You lean against the wall and you say, "You know those warehouses down by the bay?" "Yeah. I do." "Sis and I are gonna be there. With... Well, to be honest with you daddy, sis and I have been seeing a notorious gang of criminals." "It's the Butcher Gang, isn't it?" "Um. Yes." "Which warehouse, honey?" "First one on the left is where Rebecca and I will be." "I'll visit ya when I can, okay honey? Just stay safe for my sake." "I will. Promise. Sis and I have been meeting up with these guys for quite some time." "I see... No matter. I'm gonna be there. For your sake, princess. Stick with your sister. Make sure SHE protects you from the outside world. There is much more danger lurking within those that see a young girl like yourself. I wouldn't want anything happening to MY little girl. Understand?" "Yeah." "Thanks for letting me know this. I'll be around. I love you, honey. So much." "Love you too, daddy. Take care."

You hang up after all of that and you look over at your sister. She says, "Good?" You nod and you say, "I told him. He didn't seem too mad about the whole us being around the Butcher Gang." She says, "No matter. Let's pack up and get out of here. I couldn't stand that bastard landlord, anyhow. Calling YOU a floozy? Screw him."

You and your sister get to your room, bathroom, etc. You pack the things you need and you get in the living room. You grab your radio and you hold it close. You say, "I can't be without my radio. Don't judge." She says, "It's alright. Come on. Let's go. We're not coming back here." You and your sister head out with your suitcases and all. And you with your radio you treasure so much.
