You woke up early, despite it being your day off. You couldn't shake off the feeling of excitement that filled you. You knew today was the day you were going to see Suguru again.
You made your way to the kitchen, humming a soft tune. As you poured yourself a cup of coffee, Toji emerged from his bedroom, rubbing his eyes.
"Morning." he muttered, his voice still groggy from sleep.
You offered him a small smile. "Morning. You're up early."
He shrugged, pouring himself a cup of coffee as well. "Couldn't sleep."
Toji took a sip of his coffee, eyeing you over the rim of his cup. He noticed the spring in your step, the humming, and the smile on your face. It was unusual for you to be this cheerful, especially on your day off.
He set his cup down, his brows furrowing. "What's got you in such a good mood?"
You shrugged, trying to play it off. "Nothing, really. Just a good day, I guess."
Toji scoffed, his voice laced with irritation. "Don't give me that bullshit. You've been humming ever since I got out of bed, and you're smiling like an idiot. Something's up."
You sighed, rolling your eyes. "I said it's nothing, Toji. Don't make a big deal out of it."
Toji huffed, running a hand through his hair. "Fine, keep your secrets. I'm going out this afternoon anyway."
You glanced up from your newspaper, a small smile playing on your lips. "Okay. Have fun."
He watched as you went back to reading, humming softly to yourself.
He stood there for a moment, watching you, before shaking his head. Toji couldn't figure you out, and it was driving him crazy. But for now, he decided to let it go. He had his own plans for today, after all.

You spent the afternoon trying on different outfits, pacing back and forth between your bedroom and the living room. You wanted to look nice, but not too overdressed. Besides, it's just going to be a normal dinner with Suguru.
Toji noticed your unusual behavior and raised an eyebrow. "What's with all the primping? You've been running around like a headless chicken since noon." He asked, lounging on the couch as he watched you.
You ignored him, continuing to flip through your wardrobe. Toji watched you for a moment before getting up and following you into your room.
"Hey, I'm talking to you." He said, crossing his arms.
You sighed, turning to face him. "I'm going out tonight, okay? I don't need you to babysit me."
He raised an eyebrow. "Out where? With who?"
You rolled your eyes, pushing past him to get back to the living room. "None of your business, Toji."
He followed you, not willing to let it go. "Come on. I'm just curious. You never go out on Fridays."
It's true. You have two days off, and you only go out on Thursdays.
You finally stopped, turning to face him. "I'm having dinner with someone. That's all you need to know."
Toji's expression darkened. "Someone? Who is this someone?"
You shrugged, turning back to the mirror. "Just a friend. It's not a big deal."
Toji scoffed "A friend, huh? You're being awfully secretive about this. Is it a date?"
"No, it's not a date. Now, can you please leave me alone? I need to get ready."
Toji tilted his head, a smirk playing on his lips. "You know, for someone who claims it's not a date, you seem awfully concerned about your appearance. Why bother dressing up if it's just a friend?"
You paused, looking at your reflection in the mirror. You hadn't considered that. You were so focused on wanting to look nice that you didn't stop to think about why you were going through all this trouble.
You turned to face Toji, a hint of defensiveness in your voice. "I just want to look presentable, okay? It's not a crime to want to look good."
Toji raised an eyebrow. "Presentable for a friend? Or presentable for someone you want to impress?"
You sighed, turning back to the mirror. "It doesn't matter, Toji. Just drop it, okay?"
But Toji wasn't ready to let it go just yet. "You know, if you're trying to impress this 'friend', you should probably stop calling him that. Friends don't make you this nervous."
You shot him a glare. "Shut up, Toji. You don't know what you're talking about."
He huffed, leaning against the doorframe. "Maybe not. But I know you better than you think. And I can see right through you, Y/N."
You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself down. "You know what, I don't have time for this. I have to finish getting ready."
As you turned back to the mirror, you remembered something. "By the way, you mentioned you were going out this afternoon. Why are you still here?"
Toji hesitated for a moment before answering. "I...cancelled it."
You raised an eyebrow. "Why? You never cancel your plans."
He shrugged, looking away. "Nothing. I just didn't feel like it anymore."
You studied him for a moment, sensing that there was more to the story. But you didn't press further. Instead, you simply nodded and went back to getting ready.
Toji watched you for a moment longer before sighing and leaving the room. As he walked away, he muttered to himself, "Damn it. Why do I even care?"
[5PM]
You stepped out of your bedroom, your heels clicking against the wooden floor. You had chosen a deep red, form-fitting dress that hugged your curves in all the right places. The dress was sleeveless, with a plunging neckline that showed off just the right amount of cleavage. You styled your hair in an elegant way, and your makeup was subtle yet accentuated your features.
Toji was sitting on the couch, flipping through channels on the TV. When he heard the sound of your heels, he looked up, and His eyes widened as he took in your appearance, his jaw dropping slightly. He couldn't speak, couldn't move, couldn't do anything but stare at you in awe.
Toji opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He closed it again, shaking his head slightly. He felt his face grow warm, and he realized he was blushing. But Toji was quick to hide it away.
You couldn't help but feel a little self-conscious under his scrutiny. "Well?" you asked, breaking the silence. "How do I look?"
Toji blinked, snapping out of his trance. He cleared his throat, looking away. "You...you look fine." he muttered, his voice gruff.
You raised an eyebrow. "Fine? That's all you've got?"
He shrugged, still not looking at you. "What do you want me to say? You look...okay."
You couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. You had hoped for a bit more enthusiasm from him. But then again, this was Toji you were talking about. The man who had seen you at your worst and still managed to keep his cool.
You sighed, grabbing your clutch from the table. "Alright then. I'll see you later."
As you turned to leave, you could have sworn you heard Toji mutter something under his breath. But when you turned back to look at him, he was already back to flipping through channels, his expression neutral.
You shook your head, opening the door and stepping out into the night. Little did you know, Toji was already going crazy inside, his mind racing with images of you in that dress. He had never seen you look so beautiful, so...irresistible. And for the first time, he found himself admiring not just your body, but your entire being. He knew, without a doubt, that you were the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen. And it was driving him insane.
