Feeling rushes of fear, we glanced urgently at it. Eyes wide and sweat beading on our stricken faces!
Is it the end of our road?
As we stared at it with blind panic and paralyzed by fear, the thing, similar to a bee, lingered there as if too observing us for some few minutes. Typically, it looked like a bee but a bit obese and very scary-looking. I could see it clearly now.
Then as if bored watching us, the scary obese bee-like unnatural creature started drifting rearward slowly. Its red eyes still focused on us.
When it was over the tattered minivan, it slowed down to stop and then strangely, the reddish glow on its eyes started flipping from red to blue and forth. Then the blue glow lingered there for few seconds and then turned off completely. Leaving them looking as dead blank as the night's shadow.
Next, the strange ugly bee spun around ploddingly, and started drifting away over the tarmac and towards the inner part of the city. Completely unaware of the fate that awaited it. Still in shock, we watched in awe as it continued to gain both velocity and attitude.
To my surprise, when the strange bee was again just past the strange abandoned V8-like vehicle, something very mysterious ensued all of sudden and without a slight warning that it nearly made me to pee under my pants!
First came a blinding flash, trailed by a thundering rumble and the next thing I saw was a ball of orange flames, before hot debris erupted like fireworks out of it. Scuttling in myriad different ways.
Within a blink of an eye, a sudden fierce bolt of blue energy emerged like a lightening from somewhere around the minivan and struck the bee full force, blasting and scorching its insides out.
The poor bee erupted, producing an enormous ball of arrange flame tinged with blue, thereafter coughing out a mass of hot flaming debris permeated with darkish smoke into the evening air.
In a matter of seconds, what was left of the poor bee now was a mangled mass of torn and severely scorched wreckage, plummeting helplessly to the ground. And as the final smoky dust and shredded pieces of metal rested on the tarmac, I darted my eyes quickly towards the location of the v8, where the bolt had likely emerged from. And since also I wasn't sure whether the blue bolt of energy had emanated from inside the v8 or nearby, I started dancing my sight around its entire surroundings, scanning for the probable source of the mysterious energy. My body a bundle of nerves and muscles barking at me to lurch the vehicle forward.
I remained absently frozen into my seat. Paralyzed by fear, anxiety, shock and dread. Truthfully, I was in a complete state of panic.
Gazing at Liz, her face was a mask of alarm. Vertical wrinkles between her eyes. Sensing I was looking at her, she rotated her head and glanced at me nervously and swallowing hard. Then I saw her draw in a sharp breath, and attempted to speak. But it was futile since fear had already stolen her words. Voice freezing in her throat.
My spirits sunk immediately, seeing how shaken she was. It pained my heart greatly.
DANGER! My instincts barked all of sudden, startling me out of emotional slumber.
I darted my eyes to the v8 quickly since it was the location I suspected the most. Via the corner of my eye, I saw Liz do the same. Sweeping everywhere around the strange vehicle and also behind us.
Nothing looked out of ordinary!
What the heck is not going on?

Christine was not ready and prepared to show her self up yet; not until she was very certain that indeed it was the emergency team. She couldn't understand why so much panic was surging through her hence the reason she was being that alert and cautious. She observed silently as the figures walked to the van's rear exit door where one of them quickly unlocked the door open. Next, she saw them start dragging something from within the van.
