I didn't have any classes with Mattheo today so I wasn't able to see him. That didn't stop me from thinking about him. I thought about him during the lessons, during lunch and even during Quidditch practice.

"Gia! Watch out!" Someone shouted at me as I was in my thoughts again.

I barely had any reaction time before the bludger hit me directly in the face. Due to the impact I fell from my broom, on the ground.

"By Merlin's beard, are you ok?" Jason, the beater who had probably hit me, asked.

"Yeah." I managed to say.

I groaned as I got up but luckily the pain wasn't that bad. The fact that I had been so in thought made be a bit weary. Jason came flying to me and handed me my broom.

"Thanks." I smiled

"Next time, keep your head by the training."

I rolled my eyes playfully, even though I knew he was right. I had to focus on myself instead of Mattheo.

"Next time don't hit me."

"Bla bla bla!" Jason quickly flew away again.

I flew back to where Jeremy and Roger were. It was only now that I noticed Jeremy was laughing, at me!

"Hey! I could have gotten a concussion!" I yelled at him.

"Bla bla bla!" Jeremy copied Jason.

That was something my quidditch team always did whenever I would complain or make comments. I knew it was a joke made just to mess with me, so I tried to not take it seriously. Personally I thought it was funny because it was a really childish thing to do and to see teenagers acting like that was just funny.

After a big exaggerated sigh we continued our exercise. This time I made sure to focus and to let the curly haired boy out of my mind.

I was sitting beside Cho and Athena during the potion lesson. We sat in the back so I had a perfect view of Mattheo. Later today I had DADA so I was hoping I could talk to him about the whole situation, maybe slip in an apology.
I guess Cho must have catched me looking at Riddle.

"Hey, you never told us what happened when you walked away with Mattheo. And before you start, I don't judge you or have anything bad to say about it."

I grinned at the last comment, but got serious when I thought about what happened.

"So as you know, he had just been in a fight, so I brought him to a washroom. I cleaned him up. It was all fine until he asked me if I thought that he'd done it. Because I wasn't a hundred percent sure, I said that I didn't know. Th-"

"Wait, so you don't trust him?" Athena asked, surprised.

"I believe I can trust him. I have faith. But there's always a chance that he isn't a good person."

"Thank Merlin, the whole time we thought you trusted him like a blind man."

"I didn't. But anyways, like I was saying I said that I wasn't sure. He just nodded so I thought he understood where I was coming from. I then asked if he actually had something to do with it a-"

"Did you really say that?" Cho asked.

"Yeah, why?"

"I thought you wanted to be careful around him."

"I still do, but I had to ask. But if you'll let me continue. After that he walked away."

"Understandable." Athena muttered.

I sighed.
"I've probably ruined everything."

"I don't think so." Cho said assuring.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, he probably trusted you, that's why he followed you in the first place. You've now broken that trust, but that doesn't mean you can't rebuild it."

"You think?"

"Yeah of course girl. You've been nothing but kind to him. Too kind if you ask me."

I was really surprised that my friends actually helped me with the Mattheo situation. I thought they would be happy, and maybe they are, but they still helped me. Maybe our friendship was better than I thought. I just hope that Cho was right and I could actually build up Mattheo's trust again.

Later that day during the DADA lesson I was preparing myself for Mattheo and I's conversation. Luckily he wasn't in the classroom yet. On the other hand I did wish he would come quickly. It was as if I had used wandless magic because Mattheo walked through the door just as I had made my wish.

"Hi." I greeted when he was close enough.

To my disappointment he didn't greet me back. Even worse, he passed 'our' table and sat three tables behind me. Athena, who had also entered the room, looked confused at me. I gave her a sad smile. It might not have been the plan but Athena took the chance to sit beside me now.

"Gia, what happened?" She whispered.

"I greeted him, and then he just walked past the table."

Athena looked at me for a second before bursting out in laughter. Her laugh made me laugh as well even though I was far from happy.

"Stop, it's not funny." I whined.

"H-he... just... w-wa-lked through?" She managed to get out before bursting out of laughter again.

"Yes, now shut up about it."

"Never."

"Miss Snow, please stop laughing." The professor interrupted.

"Sorry professor.'"

Athena looked at me and started laughing again.

"Miss Snow!" The professor warned.

"Sorry."

Athena turned her head away so she wasn't looking at me anymore.

"I'm never telling you something again."

"Sure, then I'll just..." She started laughing again.
"-walk past you." She sputtered out."

"Miss Snow, detention after school. For now you can leave the room."

I mouthed a 'sorry' at her, feeling guilty, but she just waved it away.

After that I was left alone. Since I was bored to death I decided to doodle a bit in my book. I loved the way drawing distracted me from everything. With my pencil I could draw a whole new world, one where I didn't have to worry. It was almost like a story.
Luckily this was my last lesson of the day, I honestly don't know if I could've handled another lesson. When it was announced that the lesson was over I went to my dorm as quick as possible. I didn't go to Mattheo because I thought it wouldn't help at the moment. When I reached my dorm I put on some music and layed in my bed.

Hello. After more than half a year I'm backish. This is just a small update but I just had to because I was starting to feel guilty. I hope you like it. It's not much Gia and Mattheo buttttt that will come ofc. It's a bit of a slow burn if you haven't noticed. The book will probably have a lot of chapters.

Anyway what I wanted to do is ask a few things which will help me write:

1. Should I rewrite the older chapters and give them more depth etc.?

2. What would you change about the story? (Apart from the fact that I obviously need to post more.)

3. What would you like to see?

4. Would you guys like other Mattheo Riddle stories or maybe oneshots where Mattheo might be portrayed differently?

Again thank you guys so much for the support and kind reactions♥️♥️ I'll try to be a better writer lol.
