Chapter 14:

You somehow managed to get his fever to go down. Though it was probably more him than you.

It was still there though. Nevertheless, all that mattered now was that it had gone down and the goldfish was currently eating the soup you had brewed for him.

Kanao had helped you out on it and you had the squad taste test it for you just to be sure that it didn't taste like worms sliced and soaked in water but you were still worried.

After all, Muichiro was known for being blunt and INCREDIBLY judgemental. And you were not looking forward to his reaction to your cooking skills.

So you ditched him right after giving him the soup and ran away with the excuse of having to help Aoi out. He probably didn't even know who Aoi was.

"So you just left him when he just got better, cause you were afraid he'd say your food sucked...?" Aoi raised a brow at you, now you were being judged by her.

"Don't say it like that. Rengoku came over to visit, I'm sure he'll be fine." You responded while hanging the bedsheets up with Aoi.

"Well, Rengoku is pretty reliant but still." Aoi stated hanging anouther bed sheet, "I'm surprised, Y/n. I didn't know you were so spineless."

"Would you rather prefer me to go back to him and leave you to do all the chores alone from now on?" You quickly refuted as Aoi immediately stepped down.

"Nope, no thanks. I'd been having more sleep lately, I'm not looking forward to losing that." Aoi responded causing you both to burst out laughing.

Until Tanjirou ran over to inform you that Inosuke had challenged Muichiro to a fight and when Muichiro attempted to walk away, not giving two fucks about Inosuke.

He grabbed Muichiro and climbed onto the roof of the butterfly mansion with him, and what's worse was that both Muichiro and Rengoku allowed it to happen.

"Inosuke, have you gone mad?! Bring Muichiro back down here!" Aoi screeched as Kiyo got Aoi her broom while a crowd gathered.

"Why... Why didn't you stop him...?" You asked Rengoku in the most exhausted tone to exist as he only gazed at with a smile on his face.

"It would be great training! And they seemed to be having fun!" Was Rengoku's reply, at that moment, all you could do, was sigh.

"No way! What are you going to do about it?!" Inosuke mocked, Aoi seemed fully prepared to climb up onto that roof and shove that broom up his ass right now.

"Inosuke, get down before Aoi decides to take away your seconds privilege. And I won't help you out this time." You threatened as Inosuke suddenly fell silent.

"Hah! Gonpachiro will give me his!" Inosuke immediately came up with a solution, his smirk immediately climbed back onto his face which Aoi wiped away the next second.

"Tanjirou has to go on a mission, he won't be back for a week." Aoi deadpanned stamping the broom on the ground.

"Then Monitsu-" "Zenitsu's also going with Tanjirou." You cut Inosuke off as he fell silent again before yelling back a moment later.

"So what?! Your food taste like shit anyway, I don't want seconds!" Inosuke began cackling though it was obvious that he didn't mean that by that voice crack.

"Enough, Inosuke! Get down!" Aoi shouted again causing Inosuke to finally start climbing down with the goldfish seeing that Aoi was actually really mad.

And since you said that you wouldn't help him out this time. He really had no other choice, since Inosuke could not live without seconds, and Tanjirou would be on a mission with Zenitsu.
