Chapter 10: new artist(problem)/war

Hakeem

It was late at night on a Friday and I was hanging out with my boys. "Ayoo..look at diggy !" Chicken said. He was across the street spitting rhyme. We walked over to them.

"Aye simmons ain't yo pops gonna be mad that you hanging with street boys.." I said. The boys oooowedd.He sucked his teeth. "Ayye ain't you fucked Tiana...when I was hitting that she said "you was better than hakeem"..." he said. His boys laughed. "Nigga stfu...I'll ruin your career in one diss song..." I said. Everyone gasp. "Sure bout that..?" He asked. "Yea and one more thing..." I said walking up to him. "Stop rapping like you from the streets...cause you ain't bout that life bruhh..." I said walking away. My friends laughed. "Tell my baby paige I did come back to daddy..." he yelled out. I chuckled and kept walking. Guess I got my own war.

Next day

"You did what..!?" Jamal asked. "Its not like he's gonna beat me.." I said. "Yall have alot of things in common ....." Becky said. "enough of taking ....babe go diss the shit outta him..." Paige said. I got up and jogged to the studio.

Paige

"As I walked down the hall..I heard our new artist Justine on the phone. "Look..I'm not working for yall !...don't call back...." She said as she hanged up. I walked in and knocked. "Got any beats yet..." I said. She turned. "No I dont...but I would love to work with hakeem..." She said. She said it like she want hakeem. "have you seen our twins yet..? " I asked. "Oh..you're paige.... you cute or whatever ...." She said flipping her hair. I left before I do something that I might regret.

"Bwahhh Bwahhh bwah..." Jaylen said hitting hakeem face. We home on the bed chilling with the nerds. Jayden was asleep as usual. He don't play much. "Do you think tiana telling the truth..." I said. He picked up his phone and showed me a picture of a babygirl. I teared up. She looks just like him. "What her name ..?" I asked. "Haylee Amerie Lyon....she's 1 now.." he said. He saw my tears and wiped them. "I know you wanted a girl...I didn't know she was pregnant when we broke up..." he said. "Its okay hakeem....besides...she's pretty.." I said smiling at the pictures. "I'm gonna get her tomorrow....okay.." he said pecking my cheek. I nodded. I was still broken inside.

Tiana

"did he bought it ..? "burreti asked. I nodded. "Its really his...." I said. He nodded. "that's great..!! Diggy " he yelled. Diggy fine ass walked in and sat down. He winked at me. "did he see you...." he asked. "Yea....I need to diss him in a song...." diggy said.

Burreti stand up and clapped. "Keep hakeem distracted with the child and diggy you make sure you ruin Hakeem's career..." he said. We nodded and walked out. Diggy grabbed me. "I thought she was mines..." he growled. He had my arm tight. "I'm sorry...I was pregnant before me and hakeem broke up...." I said. He slapped me and walked away. I sat in the hall and cry. After this war I'm leaving for good.
