My name is Meris (Meri for short) Lake-Land which means Sea. I am one of the last of the baby blue tail mermaids, Because of this I usually had to stay in the sea. Now my family has arranged for us to live on land so my siblings and I can have a better education and so we can live our lives with our mates.
This plan has been going on since last year after I was recovered 8 months ago. My parents have bought a mansion on the ocean side with a private strip of the beach for our safety when we swim. I have 5 siblings, with me as one of the youngest.
I have 2 older sisters who are part of a triplet set, Mariana and Marina, and an older brother by the name of Max, they are all 18. Max is supposed to take over the kingdom. I also have 2 younger siblings, twins, a boy and a girl Meredith and Mason at the age of 10.
We have been on land before but we have never stayed long. Now we are staying for 10 years maybe less. When I was younger I had wanted to be a professional swimmer but if we touch water for more than 2 minutes we shift into a mermaid. Once we are on dry land it takes about 30 seconds to shift back to our human form and our clothing from the last time are still on our body.
I have long Black-Purple hair that reaches my waist and dark purple eyes that change color on will. My shell bra is black, we smell human to other creatures ( vampires, wolves, fairy, and other mermaids ) can't detect us unless they recognize our status.
