Chapter 17: Alive

Meris' POV

Time flies by without notice and things change. People change. 

My Purple eyes filled to the brim with shimmering tears that raced down my face. 

Things I know don't stay the exactly the same even though I wish they did because if they did we wouldn't be here today with her standing in front of me.

 I have every right to be upset hell bent on bringing pain to him, to Robert, Vincent and to all the other guys. 

People say forever doesn't exist and love isn't meant to last but they have never felt the need to be near your mate every constant moment of the day to feel those sparks and the zoo in your stomach when they are there. 

I wiped the tears from my cheeks and ran a hand through my hair. 

I have always carried her with me my entire life and when I saw the life from her eyes drain it broke me it made me want everything in the world to rip apart because she the woman in front of me died I saw it she did and.

 I can tell she never wanted that the death she constantly looked for the meaning behind it all. 

After I left I saw them in the shadows every where and her in a white dress following me every where the dress she was wearing now her little cardigan almost falling off of her body. 

I can tell she was scared, scared out of her wits but I needed her I needed Dana I wanted to smell the cherries and her shampoo. 

Her eyes no longer holding the stars in them her hair a dull black, not the vibrant person I wasn't used to seeing. 

" Dana " I whisper another tear gracing my cheek with its presence. 

She ran at me squishing me in the bear hug I always wanted to feel again. " it's ok sweetie ill get you out of here. "

 She whispered against my hair. "I thought you died I saw it" " He healed me when you were unconscious. " 

She wasn't just like an older sister to me she always protected me like that time that a guy slapped my ass at the mall, 

she broke his hand and told him if he touched me again his head would be through the wall. 

" We need to leave now, Angel if we are ever going to get out of here it has to be now "  Hearing the old nickname made my heart burst with joy she, 

She was my person the one I always counted on she was the one I poured all my  dreams and ideas to her because I knew she would always be there for me no matter what. 

I breathed deeply before saying " Ok. " a smile rang proudly on her face the smile i dreamt of. 

I let go of her and grabbed the knife from the wall. Dana opened the door and looked around, before going down the hallway me following behind her. 

After walking a little way she turned the corner and i was grabbed by the arm not thinking at all i used the knife and rammed it through the man's skull.

 hearing the gurgle of blood he dropped to the floor and blood exited the wound as i pulled it out.

I wiped the blood on my pants before turning the corner to see Dana was held against the wall by Vincent.

 Running at full speed i stabbed his back and he turned around to see me his smirk growing but not until i snatched his gun without him knowing and  aimed a shot rang out through the air and hit him point blank in the middle of his eyes his body thudding onto the ground and the blood splatter on the wall Dana had blood covering her skin and dress. 

" We need to change before they smell the blood on us." " my room is this way," she said meekly. 

We walked a couple of steps and entered a purple room.

Dana changed into a blue long sleeve sweater crop top and skinny acid washes jeans and white Addidas. 

She handed me a pair of black jeans and a gray sleeve ripped shirt. 

Putting back on the combat boots i placed the gun in the small of my back and the knife in a holster i found. 

We sprayed our selves in Cologne and walked out of the room all the rooms in the Elcott Manor were sound proofed because nobody wants to hear that. 

We walked out of the room and i walked up to Vincent's body.

 I grabbed the key card and scavenged him finding a pair of keys and a picture of him and his brother. 

" check the other body just holler if you find something important. " I tell Dana she nodded before going to the guard. 

Placing the folded picture in my pocket after she left and the key in my hand I grabbed the wallet and stole the cash. 

The twenty would help. 

Vincent's phone was on the floor in the blood thanking the lord it was water proof. 

I wiped the blood on Vincent's shirt and used his finger to unlock the phone. 

Dialing Aiden's number he yelled when he picked up " I am busy searching for my girlfriend what do you want and who is this." " Aiden is this you? " i ask 

" Meri, where the hell are you we have been searching for you for 2 days"

 " can you put me on speaker if everybody is there?" I ask 

" you're on" "The Elcott Manor they kidnapped me but i killed him " " who Meris " Hearing Max's voice on the line made my body relax when i felt a hand on my shoulder.

 Looking up i saw Dana and she handed me another phone and a stack of cash.

 I smiled and stood up grabbing her hand we ran down the corridor as i spoke " Vincent is dead so is a guard. "

 "How Meri" my mother spoke, " Stabbed the guard in the head and shot Vincent in the eye." 

" oh my god get out the hell of there " Mariana yelled " we are doing that," i say just as we came to a set of double doors needing a key card to enter the stair case. 

"Shit ok i have a card" I placed the keycard into the slot and took it out hearing the small click and pushed a door. " i have something else, " i says the phone receiving a text. " what," Lanie, Tay, and Bash say together. 

"Dana is alive and she is coming with me contact her family she needs them after 3 years in this hell hole. "

 " Got it,"  Marina Says good here she got the phone there is another door. 

Hearing the echo of our voices and the sound of our shoes hitting the metal staircase. 

i slid the key card into the device again and pulled the white plastic out grabbing the gun and taking the safety off gently opening the door I glanced around the area seeing dozens of cars I press the button on the remote and the blue Bugatti lit up like a Christmas tree. 

we sat in the leather seats me in the drivers the gun back in the small of my back and pants.
