Chapter 12: What did i miss?

Meri's POV 

Recap: 

I looked at my phone seeing a text message from an unknown number. seeing a variety of letters and numbers.

Thinking of it as a spam i walked out of my room. The house went from its normal bustling place to a overwhelming quietness.

I glanced down at my feet as i walked out of the shadows and into the light venturing down the stairs. Somebody crashing into me making my body falling on the floor.

I let out a loud 'ow' as my body it the tile floor. Looking up from my body to see a girl i knew from my past. Olivia she was another person captured and in a cage next to me.

Pulling my body and  Olivia's i pulled her into a bone crushing hug looking over the 16 year olds body. Olivia Henderson, was a werewolf rouge but not by choice she had blond hair and pale skin her eyes shining a bright green showing her excitement. 

"Oh my gods Meris (Full first name) i haven't seen you in months" " I know livy . I have missed you tiny wolf so much"

 " hey my wolf is almost your size. and whats with all this gloom cheer up the weather maybe fun to jump in puddles but what about the beach come on ill shift and we can play in the water like we used to. " 

" you can play but im relaxing on the beach nothing more. " i offer " ok fine just make the sun come out" shaking my head i let the happiness take over from seeing my friend looking around the room i noticed that my mate wasn't here thank the gods.

"come on Liv girls lets change." dragging the girls to my room i scoured through my drawers to find a bathing suit Liv and the rest of the girls pulled swim suits out of their bags.  

Liv changed into a black Aztec halter swimsuit. Tay pulled out a tiger print strapy bathing suit and Lanie had a blue and white floral off the shoulder bikini with bows on either sides of her hips. 

My bathing suit had a variety of colors and patters, it was strapless and the sides of the bottom had slits. i pulled on some shorts and my flannel. 

We walked down the stairs when my phone rung in my hand. looking at the unknown number i stopped walking and said " ill see you guys down stairs i gotta take this." 

The girls nodded and walked down the stairs talking about fashion and gossiping well Lanie and Liv were while Taylor was probably ignoring them.

i slid the screen of the phone tapping the answer sign, " Hello , may i help you?" i asked hearing nothing but silence. " Hello who is this?" hearing a click knowing the line went dead. 

I unlocked my phone and called the number again hearing a robotic voice " we are sorry the number you were calling is either out of service or the phone is off." 

Hanging up the phone i slid the phone into my back pocket and finished walking down the stairs to hear growling and yelling, Can i never get peace. 

"Listen hear if you think im just going to let my mate leave and go back home you have some sick and twisted brain." Hearing the voice of my mates Gamma Jeremy.

I rushed to my friends to see a growling third and a scared Liv being protected by my brother  and Taylor.

Jeremy was being held back by Aiden and Bash, there was a lot of growling and yelling now. 

"SHUT UP EVERYONE! " I yell the lights flickering and everybody turning quiet. 

hearing a growl from Jeremy i gave him a scowl making him shut up and my eyes turning bright violet. Looking at a scared Olivia.

I shoved Max out of the way and put my arms around Liv my hands rubbing up and down her back. 

" You ok Livy? " " c..could be better didn't know i would be finding my mate on this trip." She stuttered a little bit. 

i let out a little laugh and turned back around " Jeremy calm down or get out of my house, we will be outside." pulling the girls outside with me. I sat down on the nice warm sand... 

"So what did i miss from a few months back? " Liv asks looking out into the sea. " the Girls playing in the water happily splashing each other, playing with the waves.

 Not once their tails coming out. 

I let out a little sigh. " not much happened in the 6 months you were away traveling just.. stuff" " Meris you know you can't lie to me i have know you through our toughest times and we got out alive which is all that matters." " But..." 

" No Meris we still have our souls, our hearts and we are alive because that.." She pointed at Bash and Lanie kissing and her pushing him in  the water " is what all supernatural creatures look forward to since we were young Nos ergo diligamus deum, et vivunt vitam diligere. "

 " we live to love and love to live." i reply in English translating from Latin. 

I nodded my head as Olivia sat up walking behind me moving my head to follow her. 

That little 16 year old girl is trying to repair something that can't be repaired. 

Seeing someone in my peripherals and saw Aiden sitting in the sand next to me. 

"Aiden i can't " " No Meri you wont allow your self to." feeling him use his index and thumb to bring my head up from looking at my hands that lay rested on my lap. in one quick movement my lips were captured in his. 

His eyes shut immediately unlike mine which were closing slowly. 

Pulling away lightly our lips a barley an inch apart. Our eyes blinking open "Nos ergo diligamus deum, et vivunt vitam diligere." I whispered my breath mingling with the air before he pulled me back into another kiss. 

hearing a couple of whoops we pulled away again this time our heads resting against each others as we let out little chuckles. 

Just hearing the sound of his laugh made my heart swell feeling him kiss me made my head ring and feeling his burning touch on my cold skin made me feel alive like i had never felt before.
