Vexing Mister Kwon

Unresolved Conflict

  A bright red manicured hand fell over Mingyu's arm, nails digging in making him wince, he was one minute away from excusing himself and escaping the Yoon twins now that his job was done but then she latched on and Jihoon could see the immediate annoyance raise on the alpha's face. Almost immediately everyone in their little group tense and Jihoon sighs in exasperation, he is not in the mood to deal with this.

  "Ah lord Kim here you are I was searching for you." Mingyu looks helplessly at the Yoon twins but they only shrug at him, it is not like they can do something about her unless she says something improper, and according to Jihoon's calculations that will take her less than 5 minutes.

  "Miss Park, it is nice seeing you again, I assume you are enjoying yourself today?" nice indeed, try saying that with a smile on your face Kim Mingyu, Jihoon internally snorts and shakes his head, even any random passerby could tell the tension in the area, maybe except for Miss Park herself... Typical as his mother would say from girls like her kind.

  "I am thank you for asking what about you?" Okay now she was ignoring all three of them, not that Jihoon would care but that did hurt his ego slightly.

  "Not really, I am missing the omega I am courting of course." He slightly detaches the hand holding him with a tight smile while saying that and Miss Park's face distorts in annoyance at being rejected politely for an omega that is not even present.

  "Ah yes I heard he went into heat the night of our ball, I also heard from our Butler that you left early Mister Lee as well as Lord Kwon, what a coincidence if you ask me." She smiles so innocently making all the omega stiffen in their places meanwhile Mingyu only stares at her in confusion. Jihoon bites the side of his tongue not to say anything regrettable, this woman is really trying to insinuate something in broad daylight?

  "I would assume that is not your business for why a person would leave early Miss Park, after all, if the event is not entertaining enough that a lot of your guests are leaving early I'd wonder about the reason too." Jisoo smiles mischievously making her go red-faced and spluttering at the double meaning. Oh, Yoon Jisoo, Jihoon is so happy he befriended him and never made an enemy of him, that man is dangerous.

  "That is... That is... Our ball was amazing and entertaining Mister Yoon, I assure you of that, you can ask anyone, you do not get to say such morbid things and start a rumor when in fact your brother's very own rumors are still circulating around." She says the last thing directed toward Jeonghan with a raised finger and Jihoon raises an eyebrow seeing the older slowly folding over himself and taking a few steps back hiding, if Jisoo did not have a hold on him he suspects he would have run away already.

  "Maybe because people like you are still feeding into baseless rumors that have been around for months? Get over yourself Miss Park not everything you hear is real and it has been long enough of you lot chewing on my brother whenever you get bored just for the hell of it." Jisoo glares so fearlessly standing in front of the other and Jihoon gets a newfound respect for him, he always took the twin protection role seriously but to see it play with a different pair made him really thankful he accepted the other's request to befriend him.

  "I just do not think a person like him is fit to be courted by Mister Lee, I have been trying for so long to gain his affection and yet he only has eyes for you, a lowly omega who is rumored to have slept around the ton for so long, so how is the baby huh?" Two growls arise at the same time from both Mingyu and Jisoo making Jihoon wince himself at the sound and take a step back from the crazed cousins, jeonghan runs at the same time and when the two look at the girl in annoyance they instead leave her to run with a last growl after the distressed omega.

  Jihoon narrows his eyes and then turns toward the girl grabbing her wrist so forcibly and twisting it behind her in a way no one could see. The dumb girl really said that in front of him while wanting to have a chance with Seungcheol? How ridiculous. "How about you try saying that one more time Miss Park? I am not in the mood to play around and lucky for you that you caught us on one of my worst days so I will not be gentle on you, now smile so no one thinks anything is wrong." He tightens his grip as she whimpers slightly in place but otherwise stays silent watching him with wide eyes.
