Jeonghan looks behind him quickly nervous then ahead when their eyes met, that was not what he had planned, he sent Jisoo toward the other so he could try to prolong the time he would have before the inevitable conversation for as long as he could. But again Jeonghan must be a fool to think such a trick could work on Lee Jihoon of all people. Jihoon was smarter than that and he was probably just humoring Jeonghan at this point.
A hand catches into his arm and Jeonghan sighs giving up on trying to run away through the crowd. "So are you done running away or not? I really do not have the whole night to chase around." Jihoon exclaims from behind him and Jeonghan sighs.
"I was not running away, I merely needed to go find someone. Yes, I was going that way..." Jihoon raises an eyebrow then crosses his arms as he looks at the other who was pointing randomly ahead of him.
"Meeting who I beg to differ? You do not even have friends, Jisoo was next to me and Seungcheol is right behind him so?" Jeonghan winces knowing maybe that was not so smart of him to say in the first place.
"Do you have to be mean about it?" Jihoon shrugs in place.
"What? Did you want me to say that you have multiple friends that you want to meet? Unless you want to go to talk to Park Nayeon then go ahead." Jihoon nods to where Jeonghan is pointing and the other turns behind him eye widening then he sighs rolling his eyes.
"Okay, fine I got it I am a miserable person who does not even have friends are you happy now?" Jihoon just shrugs.
"You did not answer my question." Jeonghan looks around him and then he pulls on the other's wrist to the side but Jihoon pulls his hand quickly away and holds it close to his chest protectively eyes so wide and guarded. Jeonghan gives him a weird look never have seen the other act that weird but he shrugs it off. It was not his business to ask or interfere.
"I was not ignoring you." Jihoon drops his arm to his side eyes going back to normal and guard dropping his whole demeanor changing once again so quickly as he groans in annoyance.
"I swear you and Seungcheol literally are made for each other, ignoring people is not the way to avoid a conversation! Please!" Jihoon puts a hand over his face in annoyance and Jeonghan just watches him
"Fine, maybe I was just trying to avoid, TRYING." Jihoon lets his hand fall away from his face with a dead-on look toward the other.
"You did not tell him the truth did you not?" Jeonghan winces and that was all the confirmation Jihoon needed that Jeonghan indeed did not tell Seungcheol the full truth of why he was rejecting him all that time.
"Look it was not like I did not want to, it is just... Seungcheol got so happy and I could not break that bubble of happiness. Jihoon you saw how he was, How was I supposed to break the truth for him?" Jihoon's face softens as he pats the other's shoulder.
"But bubbles are made to be burst, they last for a while, but not forever." Jeonghan looks down toward his feet in defeat.
"I know that and I will tell him, I promised you I will before and I do keep my promises, I just need to find the right time to do it." Jihoon raises an eyebrow not believing him.
"The more you prolong the inevitable the more you let it grow and the worse the outcome and the mess will turn to be, and I refuse to hold responsibility for when it explodes on you, on me, and on Seungcheol." Jeonghan rolls his eyes at that.
"I told you I will tell him have I not? And I stick to my word, you do not have to worry about you even being involved in the aftermath of the situation. I know you were the one that convinced me to do this but it is still my decision and I will take full responsibility for whatever will come out of it." Jihoon's lips pursue as he stares at Jeonghan for a couple minutes then nods his head slowly.
