An end to a love

 "Oh, what are you doing here?" Jihoon doubletracks when he passes by a hallway and peeking inside at the figure of Jimin in their house. He was the last person he would think to see here. "I thought you were going to stay with your family for a few days?"

  Jimin who was digging through his chests smiles slightly dusting his robe as he gets up from the floor with a sigh. "I am, I just needed to get a few things from here, there is so much I can borrow from Soonyoung after all and Yoongi is uncomfortable seeing me wearing other's clothes, it is not like I went far anyway."

  "Ah, do you need help? Where is my dumb brother anyway should he not be appearing in his big shining armor to do this stuff for you and carry your chests?" Jimin giggles shaking his head and Jihoon smiles, it was nice seeing the other smile even slightly, the past few weeks have been tough on everyone, the air in both houses was so suffocating, the scents extremely sour, sadness coating the place so seeing even a small smile really warmed Jihoon's heart.

  "Sure an extra hand is appreciated. Believe me, though he wanted to help, but I told him off, he has too much work to do. After his trip after all he has been staying with me the whole time and did not finalize any of the paperwork that needed to be finished. Plus I need a breather, he has been all over me, and I think I will go crazy. He seriously will not let me off his side. This is worse than after we mated." Jihoon explodes in laughter internally registering the information to tease his brother later on.

  "Alphas," Both of them say at the same time and Jihoon rolls his eyes playfully and then proceeds to reach the pile of clothes Jimin had thrown over the bed to fold neatly when Jihoon's attention turns toward something green shining on the other's wrist.

  "Oh, I do not think I ever saw you wear that before." Jihoon bites the side of his mouth after saying that, it was not his place at all to say something like that but he could not shake the familiarity of the piece or its beauty. He usually is not that curious about clothes or accessories and it makes him feel annoyed whenever he can feel his interest peek for such shallow things.

  "Oh, I have had this since I was a little kid, my father," Jimin swallows dryly but then looks down to his wrist with a wistful smile. "He gave one of these to each one of us when we reached 5 or later I cannot remember clearly, it has our family crest on it you see, I had it stored away lately after I married since it would look weird wearing my own family's crest instead of yours, people might have said that I was not accepted as a Lee or something but I thought this is a good time to get it out of the box, my father loved us dearly and I would like to remember him whenever I look down to my wrist." Jihoon smiles at the other nodding but his gaze did not leave the other's wrist in fascination.

  "It is really pretty, can I ask if it has any meaning?" Jimin nods sitting on the bed and properly showing his wrist to the younger omega so he could have a better look.

    "Do you see this swan in the middle? It is our main symbol, swans often symbolize wisdom and grace but also balance, they are our reminder to be smart about how you proceed in your life, and not jump into situations unwarranted, the balance between life and death. Between good and bad, to remind us that the balance between both can easily be swayed to either side, and one must be graceful to not fall into such a predicament. The swan is also a bird that mates for life, like us. so it is for commitment and fidelity. Do you see these lilies on the top? Lilies are actually in all of our undertone scents, It is hard to notice unless you get really close to a person but usually, it is very subtle, in flower language they mean devotion and humility, they have other meanings of course mainly love and it depends on the color but that is not what we intended to focus on. The Lillies go in our bloodline, a devoted promise to never let down the family, to always stand tall and protect it, to never stray from our goals once we put our eyes on something, and to follow our dreams to the very end. Do you know what our family motto is? Kwons never give up, we have been taught since we were mere children to never give up on something we love, and devote ourselves to make it true. It was always nice to have a supporting family that encourages such values, we grew up full of love and determination, strong enough to always fight for what we want in life." Jimin shakes his head in fondness then points to the emeralds on the sides. "These mean love and power, it was said that emeralds represent powerful families but emeralds are also a sign of protection, in old myths it is said they have the power to protect people from poisons and bad things. So it is like our little lucky charm. Father used to believe that wearing it would always feel like a second layer of protection for us and maybe he is right who knows?  It is nice, right? I have always loved our family crest, looking at it I only feel overflowing love and happiness."
