Samarth's POV

Coming home this time was different from the others as I had decided to tell my parents about me and Anshuman. I have no idea about how they will react, I don't know if they are homophobic or not because all my life I have never seen my parents talking about this certain topic. Maybe they don't know about this much or maybe they've decided to ignore this topic as if it doesn't exist.

Yesterday I came home and I was planning to have the "talk" with my parents during dinner but dad said he will be late so I post poned it to today's dinner after we come back from our family day out.

It's almost time for dinner now and  even though I was confident while taking the decision I can't help but feel nervous thinking about how they will react. So I decided to call Ansh to ease my nervousness and as usual he picked up at the first ring.

"Hi, baby" he said in an animated tone

"Hi, are you busy?'' I asked

"Not at all, is everything fine?"

"Yeah, everything is fine, I was about to go for dinner and I just wanted to talk to you"

"Baby, you don't have to tell them if you don't want to"

"But I do want to, trust me"

"I trust you more than I trust myself, love"

"Yeah have some faith in me, I've got this"

"Waise dad ko tu pasand aya"
(Btw dad liked you)

"What do you mean?"

"I told him about you and he asked you to have lunch at our home tomorrow before we leave"

"Are you kidding me,Ansh"

"Teri kasam"
(I swear on you)

"God why are you like this?"

"Okay don't worry, if you are not ready to them I can find an excuse for you"

"No, it's not like I don't want to meet them, I am just scared"

"No need to be scared, baby, they already like you"

Just then mom called me from downstairs for dinner

"Okay, Ansh mom is calling me for dinner"

"Best of luck, love"

"Bye, love you"

"Where is the 'I'?"

"Dramebaz" I chuckled "Okay, I love you"

"I love you too, bye"

As I went downstairs my heart pounded like a drumbeat in my chest, each thud echoing my escalating nerves.

I sat in a serving myself a roti while mom served some of my favourite curries. Everyone  started dinner while mom and my sister engaged in a chit chat.

"Bhai, why are you leaving tomorrow?" Shagun whined

"I have pending work to be done there" I tried to reason
